Have you worked in manufacturing leading a Production team and do you have strong leadership skills? This role is essential for supporting the Production team’s high level of t quality and productivity whilst managing time efficiencies.
Responsible for:
* Induction/On-boarding of new staff and holiday bookings
* Reporting of staff performance, disciplinary concerns, clocking in and absence issues
* Distribution of work and splitting of tasks to drive productivity via team leaders if in place
* Troubleshooting problems during the production process to get the Technicians up and running again as quickly as possible
* Communicate expectations across the team to meet deadlines, whilst maintaining quality standards
* Workspace security and health and safety standards supervision
* Liaison with Production Control Manager with regard to deliveries, priorities and overdue orders issues
* Monitor and identify Production functions and reporting systems, work allocation, priorities, failures and errors (scrap and rework), training and provision of adequate cover
* Daily control supervision, including downtime & shortages
* Supervision of lean manufacturing/5S methods and standards within the Production areas
* Technicians personal reviews
* Establishing critical skill requirements, arranging training and support
* Assist in the initial investigation into Customer returns/rejections

Key Attributes & experience:
* Previous experience within a similar position
* Must have worked within a manufacturing environment.

Benefits

* Nominal working 38 hours 08.30 to 16.26 Monday to Friday. 20 minutes break 12.00 to 12.20
Extra hours may be required to fulfil the responsibilities under the job description, and the salary includes provision for reasonable additional hours. There is a holiday credit scheme for any additional hours required to cover supervisory requirements.
* Holiday: 28 days pa, which includes bank holiday and Christmas shutdown. With potential attendance bonus of up to 1 extra week for zero absence accrued on a quarterly basis
