Class 1 Drivers

We are currently recruiting for Class 1 Drivers for our client in Livingston.

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 (HGV) Driver to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining full compliance with road transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 vehicles.
  • Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently and on time.
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
  • Assisting with offloading of goods.
  • Secure loads correctly and ensure safe transportation.
  • Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
  • Comply with all DVSA regulations, Working Time Directive, and drivers’ hours legislation.
  • Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and road safety.
  • Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid UK Class 1 driving licence.
  • Excellent driving record
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Inspector

We are currently recruiting for an Inspector, on a contract basis, for our client based in Livingston. The Inspector role is based in a Warehouse style enviornment with cleaning & inspecting emergency services uniform and safety, protective equipment.

This will be an initial contract position, with an potential opportunity to go permanent. The role will be weekly pay and you will accrue holidays on all hours that you work.

Housekeeping:

Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organized to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Flexibility & Teamwork:

Support colleagues and other departments as required, covering various tasks in line with business needs.

  • Decision Making
  • Correctly starting the paperwork trail
  • Manual Handling of laundry bags and kit
  • Ability to work under pressure, and understanding the order of priority
  • Strong communication skills within peer group
  • Confident using a PC
