Commercial Gas Engineer

My client is currently seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems in residential and commercial properties. Pay & Benefits:

  • Hourly rate: £19 – £21 per hour DOE, with potential earnings of approximately £60k including overtime
  • Overtime available, approximately 10+ hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair gas appliances in various buildings, including planned maintenance and reactive call-outs
  • Install gas appliances (boilers, water heaters, etc.)
  • Perform tightness testing and purging when required (UP1a & UP1)
  • Conduct surveys and provide quote information
  • Complete daily paperwork (job sheets, gas certificates)

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Commercial gas qualifications (training provided to expand scope for the right candidate)
  • Ability to service and repair gas appliances and equipment within a plant room
  • Ability to install gas appliances
  • IPAF and PASMA preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
  • CSCS Skills card preferred (training provided for the right candidate)

Job Type: Full-time

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm
  • Overtime at 1.5x after 40 hours per week
  • On-call rotation: £180 per week, 1 in 5 rotation, transitioning to 1 in 9 rotation by October
