Position Details

  • Location: Liliput Road, Northants, NN4

  • Working Pattern: 5 days per week (Wednesday & Thursday are fixed rest days)

  • Schedule Requirement: Saturday and Sunday shifts are mandatory

Pay Rates

  • Standard Rate: £13.85 per hour (Friday, Monday, Tuesday)

  • Weekend Rate: £20.75 per hour (Saturday, Sunday)

  • Overtime Rate: £20.75 per hour (for any shifts worked on Wednesday or Thursday)

Requirements

  • Essential: Valid NPORS Telehandler Ticket

  • Desirable: NPORS Wheeled Loading Shovel and/or NPORS 360 Excavator tickets (beneficial, but not essential)

Job Description

As a Mobile Plant Operator at the Brackmills Waste Transfer Station, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day site operations, processing incoming waste materials, and maintaining site safety standards.

Key Day-to-Day Duties

  • Safely operate heavy plant machinery (Telehandlers, and where certified, Loading Shovels and 360 Excavators) to load, move, and stack waste materials across the site.

  • Control tipping hall operations, perform vehicle marshalling, and direct traffic/deliveries safely within the transfer station.

  • Load bulk collection vehicles, static plant, and transfer containers efficiently.

  • Ensure a continuous, reliable supply of waste is available for processing and bulking.

  • Conduct incoming waste inspections to identify, log, and report non-conforming or hazardous materials.

  • Perform routine daily pre-start checks and first-line maintenance on assigned plant equipment.

  • Maintain clean and safe working conditions across the tipping hall, fuel reception areas, and internal delivery routes.

  • Report all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) hazards, incidents, or equipment defects immediately to line supervisors.

Hamilton Woods Associates have been engaged by a renowned social housing provider in Northampton, to recruit to a Housing Complaints Officer on a permanent basis.

The role will require occasional travel into the office, roughly once a month.

Responsibilities of the Complaints Officer:

  • Manging a caseload of complaints
  • Ensuring thorough and consistent investigations into complaints
  • Providing formal written responses
  • Providing clear and ongoing communication with tenants, MPs and stakeholders surrounding the complaints process
  • Collating information and accurately updating systems
  • Recording and following up on complaints
  • Providing analysis and report findings to senior management on complaints and dissatisfaction

Requirements of the Complaints Officer includes:

  • Experience working within complaints
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Basic DBS check

Territory Sales Manager

Duties Will Include:

  • General support to existing customers; conducting range reviews and refreshes to grow their business with the brand. This will involve sales analysis and presentations through to hands on instore merchandising including making wooden frames, assembling boxes and displaying the products ready for retail. This will require a willingness to ask pertinent questions with influencing skills being key to success.
  • Identify possible new customers through your initiative referrals, developing your own leads, internet, databases etc. Working with sales and marketing colleagues to drive support.
  • Convert prospects into customers – liaising with customer to finalise product mix and installation logistics.
  • To install new customer sites – making wooden frames, assembling boxes and merchandising of freezers to be “retail ready”. This will necessitate an aptitude for practical hands on working and a willingness to get on with what needs to be done to ensure everything is retail ready for the customer.
  • To generate and maintain appropriate sales reporting functions.
  • To attend exhibitions to represent the company
