Production Operative

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous manufacturing or production experience who are looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The Role

As a Production Operative, you will be working in a fast paced manufacturing environment, ensuring products are manufactured, finished and packed to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Manufacturing and cutting materials to the required sizes
  • Bagging and packing finished goods ready for dispatch
  • Working to daily production targets
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
  • Following all site health & safety procedures
  • Keeping the production area clean, organised and tidy
  • Reporting machinery breakdowns and quality issues to the relevant team
  • Working effectively as part of a busy production team

Previous production or manufacturing experience is essential.

Pay & Working Hours

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Fixed Monday-Friday shifts:

Early Shift

  • Monday-Thursday: 6:00am-2:00pm
  • Friday: 6:00am-12:30pm

Late Shift

  • Monday-Thursday: 2:00pm-11:00pm
  • Friday: 1:00pm-4:00pm

Contract: Temporary ongoing, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

FLT Counterbalance Driver

Major Recruitment are recruiting FLT Counterbalance Drivers for our client based in Royton, Oldham.

A valid FLT Counterbalance Licence is essential to be considered for the role. Unfortunately we are unable to accept in house licences.

We are recruiting across rotating shifts (6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm) and fixed nights 10pm – 6am Monday to Friday.

General duties:

  • Working in a busy warehouse environment
  • Operating a Counterbalance FLT
  • Loading and unloading
  • Moving stock around the site
  • General warehouse duties
  • Manual handling
  • Heavy lifting
  • Adhering to site health and safety

Rotating Shifts

Pay Rate: £14.36 per hour

Working hours: 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm Monday to Friday (rotating weekly)

Fixed Night Shift

Pay Rate: £16.36 per hour

Working hours: 10pm – 6am Monday to Friday (fixed shift)

Pay will also be increased upon completion of additional FLT training, such as VNA, Reach, Bendi etc

Requirements

  • Valid FLT Certificate (external accredited license required – in-house licenses cannot be accepted)
  • Previous FLT Counterbalance experience
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude

Training & Site Requirements

  • 2-3 weeks training on the 6:00am – 2:00pm shift before moving onto your allocated shift pattern
  • Full medical assessment required prior to starting
  • Drug testing
  • No smoking policy on site
  • Mobile phones are not permitted on the shop floor

Graduate Account Executive

  • Manage day to day tasks and administration with regards to promotional and core business, to ensure that the systems and process are maintained:
    • Assisting the Commercial Managers in the promotional planning process within specified margin and budget parameters.
    • Ensure pricing is correct on SAP and Customer system
    • New Line Forms
    • Forecasting/Supply chain reporting
    • Setting up SAP codes
    • Running reports daily and weekly
  • Assisting the NPD team with paperwork and samples
  • Update documents and pricing in line with customer requirements
  • Assist with planning and delivery of customer and site visits and events (will include travel)

  • Support the Grocery team to develop, maintain and safeguard the current business with the customer
