Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Country Manager to lead the Grocery Snacking Branded Business in Ireland. In this pivotal role, you will drive and oversee business growth through all channels via distributor, direct-to-market, and various sales routes.

As the Country Manager, you will have full responsibility for developing and delivering the Company Brand and Strategy Ambitions, Budget Management, Customer and Team Development and Management and stake holder management and negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Develop, execute, and drive a comprehensive business growth strategy for Ireland, in alignment with agreed objectives and budgets.

– Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including market expansion and new channels.

– Brand Champion and driver of innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen market presence.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower a team of two sales managers, fostering a culture of growth-based excellence and accountability. Ensure effective resource allocation and talent development within the team.

– Market Expansion and Relationship Building: Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with distributors, retailers, and key partners to expand market presence, brand market share growth and new sales revenues.

– Create, Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, ensuring exceptional satisfaction, brand presence and loyalty.

– Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to adjust strategies accordingly.

Financial Stewardship:

– Develop and manage the annual budget, with a keen eye on achieving financial goals.

– Exercise rigorous financial discipline, analysing performance to identify areas for revenue enhancement and cost optimization.

– Ensure prudent budget management, taking full accountability.

– Strategy Development – Sales Growth and Market Penetration:

– Achieve Brand plans, ambitious sales targets, and revenue objectives, consistently driving business growth.

– Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute effective promotional campaigns.

– Oversee pricing and product positioning strategies to maximize profitability.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

– CollaboRate closely with various internal departments, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure seamless operations and execution.

– Foster alignment with the UK office to share best practices and coordinate strategies.

Qualifications:

– A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent Industry experience min three years.

– Extensive experience in a senior management role within the FMCG or snack food industry in the Irish market.

– Exceptional Customer development and leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing your team.

– Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, and market expansion.

– Profound financial acumen with a strong grasp of P&L responsibility and accountability.

– Effective budget management skills.

– Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel to the UK office as required (2-3 days per month).

Knowledge of the Irish grocery market is a distinct advantage.

Commercial Executive

Our client are a multi million turnover chilled food business, who supply into the major retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Management of price promotions and new product launches in line agreed plans.
  • Delivery of sales forecast on time and accurately.
  • Work with the supply chain and factory teams regarding forecast planning.
  • Work in conjunction with commercial finance and trade marketing to develop promotional plans suitable to each customer while seeking to maximise profitability for the business.
  • Initiative to learn from previous executions and be able to adapt and optimize future plans based on these learnings.
  • Ensure already well-established relationships are maintained within the account.
  • Developing and executing Joint Business Plan’s with Key Customers.
  • Sales experience ideally in multiple retail FMCG customer management
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate product features and benefits
  • Timely and accurate reporting, showing initiative and ability to identify selling opportunities
  • Strong communication, relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical, numeracy and excellent time management abilities.
  • Organised and professional at all times.
  • Enthusiastic and confident individual with high level of I.T. proficiency
  • A confident self-starter who can work on own initiative.
  • An excellent team player, with a passion for customer care.
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • A background of working within chilled food categories desirable
