We are recruiting an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality output while driving team performance and continuous improvement.

The Role:

  • Lead and develop production teams to achieve daily and shift-based production targets.

  • Translate production plans into effective shift and line schedules, ensuring optimal use of labour and resources.

  • Drive performance against key KPIs including efficiency, yield, waste, downtime, and labour utilisation.

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, and hygiene standards (e.g. BRCGS, GMP).

  • Promote a strong health & safety and food safety culture across all shifts.

  • Work closely with Technical, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain functions to ensure smooth operations.

  • Investigate quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Lead daily production meetings and communicate operational performance.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Support automation, process improvement, and new equipment implementation projects.

  • Recruit, train, and manage supervisors and production operatives, including performance and attendance management.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or Senior Production Supervisor within food manufacturing or FMCG.

  • Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, and industry standards.

  • Experience working in high-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environments.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.

  • Confident using KPIs and production reporting systems.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Good working knowledge of health & safety legislation.

East Kilbride | £13 per hour

Immediate Start – Assignment until Christmas Eve with possibility of extension

Are you a reliable and safety-conscious van driver looking for consistent hours and great benefits? Our client, a leading supplier of top-quality doors and luxurious flooring, is seeking a dedicated Van Driver to join their friendly team in East Kilbride.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-end doors and flooring to customers across the region

  • Minimum 3 days / Maximum 4 days per week – guaranteed 30 hours weekly

  • Shifts start at 6:00am – finish time depends on the run (no more than 10 hours)

  • Fewer days, longer runs – offering better work/life balance

  • Immediate start, with the assignment running until Christmas Eve, with the possibility of extension

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

  • Must be able to pass a Disclosure Scotland check

  • Professional, customer-focused attitude with strong timekeeping skills

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Major Recruitment are proudly working in partnership with a leading manufacturing organisation that are committed to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. We are currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team, focusing on production machinery maintenance and optimisation.

This is a days shift / back shift role, and may require weekend support on occasion.

You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving industrial machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime. Working within a team of engineers, you will play a vital role in supporting production by delivering proactive and reactive maintenance services on a variety of complex mechanical systems.

THE ROLE:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on industrial machinery.
  • Diagnose faults and conduct repairs to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production.
  • Ensure all mechanical equipment operates efficiently and to high safety standards.
  • Work closely with electrical engineers to ensure an integrated approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machinery reliability and production output.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a fast paced industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
  • Basic electrical knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience working with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts and be on-call if required.
