To be a Residential Support Worker, you will have previous experience in working with children and young people. Whilst the role has its challenges, the results you will see from the children you work with are incomparable.

Key Responsibilities:

To undertake a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement.
To give guidance and support to all Residential Workers.
To be responsible for the supervision of designated members of staff and to record this in the Supervision Sheet on the member of staff’s file.
To raise any concerns with the Registered Manager as appropriate.

To plan, manage and lead shifts ensuring children are kept safe and engaged throughout the day.
To ensure the Placement Plan for each child is followed and adhered to at all times.
To ensure education is promoted and supported and that each child’s attendance in education is maintained.

To ensure all policies and procedures, as well as risk assessments, are adhered to at all times.
To ensure that all staff comply with duty rotas and are included on a ‘rolling rota’ to gain maximum experience in the working methods of other staff.
To ensure that all staff read the Daily Log Book to check all messages at the beginning of work or at any point during the working day as required. e.g. following a day trip.
To ensure that all staff have written up any incident / accident forms or restraint forms as applicable and that such information is passed to the Registered Manager within the agreed timescale.
To ensure that all staff are familiar with and follow Local Authority Child Protection Procedures and Families for Children Residential Services ‘Safer Caring and Child Protection Procedures’.
To report immediately to the Registered Manager any issues regarding Child Protection matters.
To ensure that all staff are familiar with Policies and Guidance Notes with regard to the care of children, as well as subsequent guidance.
To ensure that all staff maintain confidentiality at all times.

To offer advice and encouragement to supervised staff with regard to individual training needs.
To ensure that all staff under their supervision undertake and complete training in accordance with their induction training schedule and Personal Development Plan.
To raise any concerns regarding an individual member of staff’s progress or attitude with the Registered Manager (if serious) or at the member of staff’s next supervision.

Our client a leading national Facilities Management company are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their team in Ipswich.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

  • To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
  • To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
  • To ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
  • To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
  • To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
  • To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out, including completing required documents and paperwork.
  • To take a proactive approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management and FM helpdesk as necessary.
  • To be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs at all times.
  • To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents/records are maintained accurately.
  • Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and FM H&S policy.
  • To assist the site, when required, with additional duties which you are competent to complete such as preparing meeting rooms, delivering beverages to meeting rooms, general basic plumbing and all other duties required by Management to ensure the smooth running of the site. Taking deliveries on site and liaising with site reception/security.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • NVQ or City & Guilds in the following; gas/plumbing/mechanical services desired.
  • Pre-requisite – Qualified Electrician, City & Guilds 2330 & 2391 or NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition.
  • Experience working within Facilities Management.
  • A customer-focused individual with a proactive approach to working.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and/or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work safely at all times and the ability to understand contract and Health & Safety requirements/regulations.
  • To attempt to solve issues in the first instance in a manner that will not put the client’s products or people at risk of contamination as a result of our work.
  • Possess effective communication skills with the ability to write technical reports and or communicate verbally with supervisor, manager, helpdesk and client representatives.
  • Ability to use electronic handheld devices.
  • Ability to identify issues or risks that require escalation as necessary to Supervisor or manager.
  • Willing and keen to work in a team covering all required duties for the site including basic tasks.

Hours per week: Variable shift rota – 08:00 – 16:30, 06:30 – 15:30, 10:00 – 19:00 – 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a HSE Manager to manage and oversee all Health, Safety and Environmental activities within a busy food manufacturing site in Eye.

You will promote and implement all HSE procedures and communication tools in line with Group and Site Environmental, Sustainability and Health & Safety strategy.

You will drive compliance with legislation and HSS awareness to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries, with a continuous-improvement approach to all areas of responsibility.

Successful candidate will ensure that all members of the workforce recognise their own contribution to improve environmental and HSS performance and awareness.

This role involves holding regular meetings with management and employee representatives and provide regular updates on progress and improvements.

You will also be responsible for maintaining KPIs and legal requirements on site and liaising with the relevant enforcement authorities.
