Goods In / Warehouse Operative (Counterbalance & Reach FLT)

Mundford | £13.27 per hour | Monday-Friday, 10:00-18:30

We’re recruiting a reliable Goods In / Warehouse Operative with valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift licences. You’ll be responsible for receiving stock, operating FLTs, and keeping the warehouse running efficiently.

Key Duties

  • Receiving and booking in deliveries
  • Operating Counterbalance & Reach forklifts
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Stock rotation and replenishment
  • General warehouse housekeeping
  • Updating paperwork and warehouse systems

Requirements

  • Valid Counterbalance & Reach FLT licences
  • Previous warehouse/goods-in experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

What You’ll Be Doing:

Be Innovative with Technical Expertise:

  • Creating, maintaining, and managing raw material and finished product specifications.
  • Working across multiple platforms, specification systems, customer portals, and internal documentation.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer spec queries.
  • Prioritising work effectively while adapting quickly to changing demands.

Have a Passion for Quality:

  • Collaborating closely with our Technical and Quality teams.
  • Completing a wide range of customer technical documentation and specifications.
  • Supporting the upkeep of business certifications, including BRCGS and customer approvals.
  • Playing a key role in audits, customer visits, and traceability exercises.
  • Ensuring all work aligns with our Quality Management System to maintain product safety, legality, and quality.

Support Integrity & Compliance:

  • Ensuring all specs contain accurate, up-to-date legislative and regulatory information.
  • Providing technical support across the business, building strong partnerships with suppliers and customers.
  • Supporting the Technical/QA team as needed.
  • Actively contributing to the supplier approval process, ensuring full compliance with food safety and legal standards.

Are you detail‑obsessed, tech‑savvy, and ready to dive into the fast‑paced world of food manufacturing? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Junior Bulk Planner who’s at the start of their planning journey and eager to join our client’s team and learn the ropes.

If you enjoy solving problems, juggling schedules, and using data to keep things running smoothly – this could be the perfect role to launch your career!

What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll become an important part of our client’s production planning team, helping keep everything on track across their Dry Bulk and Wet Bulk operations. It’s a hands‑on, get‑stuck‑in role with great exposure to the entire food manufacturing operation.

In a nutshell, you’ll be:

  • Updating and maintaining production plans using data.
  • Making sure customer orders are processed correctly and reflected in the schedule.
  • Using Sage to keep delivery dates accurate, raw materials allocated, and information up to date.
  • Working closely with their Orders and Procurement teams so everyone has the information they need.
  • Checking stock levels so production never grinds to a halt.
  • Joining daily and weekly planning meetings to spot opportunities, flag risks, and help keep the whole process running smoothly.
  • Creating production plans ranging from “what’s happening tomorrow” to “what’s happening in the next few weeks”.
  • Help maintain high standards of food safety, efficiency, and good housekeeping.

What Our Client is Looking For – The Ideal Person Will Have:
You don’t need years of planning experience – but you do need curiosity, initiative, and the confidence to work well with numbers and systems.

  • Solid IT skills (Excel is your friend and bonus points if you know your way around advanced features).
  • Experience or basic knowledge of Sage 200 (or similar systems).
  • Strong attention to detail – you notice the small things that others miss.
  • Good communication skills – you’ll be chatting with managers, directors, and sometimes customers.
  • The ability to stay organised even when there’s lots going on.
  • Your own car – the site isn’t accessible by reliable public transport, so you’ll need to be able to drive to work.
