School Staffing Solutions are looking for a Children’s Home Registered Manager to assist the General Manager in achieving the aims and objectives within the Statement of Purpose of the Children’s homes and the wider needs of the whole site .

You will manage a 3 bed home that caters for children aged 12 – 18 years, all of whom require additional support due to mental illness or concerns about them being able to stay safe due to considerable risk of self-injurious behaviours. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, including our on-site clinical team and teachers and will work with the children to support their transitions on from the site following successful achievement of the goals set out in the care plans.

Ideally the right person will have had some experience of working with children suffering with poor mental health, have an understanding of the Mental Health Act or are in fact practicing within this arena at present.

About you:

Essential Requirements and Experience

  • Passionate about making the difference to the lives of young people in care.
  • Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at point of application, if not then you must be enrolled on the Level 5 within 6 months of starting in post.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Skills: Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
  • Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
  • Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
  • Driving License: Full UK required.

The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across a complex marine scope of works. This includes both port-based activities and occasional offshore visits.

Project Scope

  • Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)

  • Outfall head installation

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HSE support and guidance to site and offshore teams

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marine Civils Safety Manager to support a major infrastructure project at Sizewell C, working with the principal contractor responsible for delivering complex marine works.
This role will take ownership of health & safety across both onshore and offshore operations, ensuring compliance, best practice, and safe delivery across a technically challenging marine environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all Health & Safety activities across marine civils operations
  • Oversee both onshore and offshore workstreams, ensuring consistent safety standards
  • Provide visible safety leadership across site, vessel, and subcontractor operations
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, client, and project-specific safety requirements
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all phases of work
  • Support method statements and safe systems of work for complex marine activities
  • Work closely with operational teams to drive a proactive safety culture
  • Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and project leadership on all HSE matters
