Category Manager

Key Objectives

*To drive sales and profitability through developing and managing category strategies based on category insight and consumer understanding

*To influence customers to progress with proposed category opportunities

*To build and manage a relationship with customers that means we are the preferred supplier for proposed category opportunities

*To develop and manage a proactive and innovative NPD strategy based on consumer insight. Working with the commercial and NPD teams to ensure opportunities are delivered to agreed timescales.

*To develop and manage strategic category promotional plans that drive positive consumer behaviour by sector

*To support the wider commercial team on ad hoc projects as required

Category Management

  • Developing and leading strategic category plans for all categories, then reviewing and evolving these to fit with the retailer ranging windows.
  • Leading category performance reviews focusing on opportunity identification – delivering insight and answering the “so what” that this insight raises
  • Supporting customer decisions with information and ad hoc requests (for example range reviews, strategy days, inductions, SKU performance analysis, channel performance)
  • Constantly challenging category assumptions and developing a fresh approach to utilising qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Proactively challenging and evolving packaging concepts to fit consumer needs
  • Ensuring all product launches and promotions have the correct marketing implementation and relevant supporting materials for strong execution and delivered on time every time
  • Adopt a proactive approach to category understanding including regular store visits, category analysis and ranging/pricing analysis
  • Liaising with agencies to deliver comprehensive communication plan in line with category objectives
  • Monitoring relevant food trends and macro trends that provide opportunity / impact to our categories

Brand Manager – FMCG

We are looking for an enthusiastic Brand Manager to look after a global brand. You will be managing a market leading brand sold in over 150 countries and one which is the Number 1 brand in its category in Europe!

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will have ownership of part of the brand portfolio. You will create and deliver marketing plans within an allocated budget to achieve agreed objectives of sales, profit and market share.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand management

  • Support the Marketing Manager on leading the brand strategy on the UK market
  • Liaise with the global team in Europe
  • Identify market risks & opportunities to build growth plans in line with business targets
  • Support the Marketing Manager on building the annual brand plans to the business and key customers (Tesco, Waitrose, etc.)
  • Build a strong activation plan in line with the brand objectives
  • Work with the shopper team to implement branded activations as part of shopper marketing process

New product development

  • Bring in depth consumer understanding to develop and implement consumer led NPDs
  • Support the Marketing Manager on identifying from the global pipeline the next big UK NPD and lead the go to market plans including benchmarking, initiative sizing, retailer sell-in and launch activation
  • Manage the artwork development processes, working with creative agencies and the local Quality team
  • Proactively communicate with the central marketing team to ensure projects are delivered on time

Packaging

  • Manage the artwork development process for the brand range.
  • Lead the packaging recyclability project with the European factory and packaging teams.

Business analysis

  • Provide regular analysis and reporting of the brand performance (sell-in, sell-out, consumer panel), as well as competitor tracking
  • Outline recommendations for action when and where necessary

Finance

  • Support the Marketing Manager on managing the brand budget reconciliation
  • Create purchase orders
  • Guardian of the products P&L working closely with the FP&A team

Media

  • Support the Marketing Manager on defining the media strategy of the brand
  • Work with the creative media agency to create stand-out and engaging brand communications
  • Oversee execution of ATL and BTL activation across the full media mix

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in brand marketing FMCG (Food industry is a plus)
  • The ability to analyse data sources, and experience using systems such as Nielsen/IRI/Kantar
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and spoken English, and the ability to communicate with clarity.
  • French-speaker is a plus

Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Responsibilities

As a Home Manager, you will implement and work in accordance with all aspects of the Statement of Purpose for your home and have a thorough understanding of the regulations and legislation which set the standards within a Children’s Home setting.

You will be an effective partnership builder, working with parents, carers, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people. You will support and offer supervision to staff in line with regulations and ensure that the safeguarding of young people remains at the forefront of practice, and young people remain consulted about the quality of care they receive.

Requirements

You must have recent experience working within the residential sector at registered manager level within a children’s residential service.

A Certified Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent as a minimum

Thorough understanding of the regulations and legislation which set the standards within a Children’s Home setting.

Ability to work closely with Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership.

Substantive experience in a Managerial role including supervisory experience.

A Certified Diploma Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards completing this.

Experience in leading and supervising a team within a Residential Childcare setting.

Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Responsibilities

Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation

Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies

Ensuring the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhering to the cleaning rota system, encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate.

Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice from shift and Managers.

Maintaining and promoting residential care work to high levels of professionalism expected by Ofsted.

Contributing to the educational and social development of each young person and assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Programs

Meeting the emotional and physical needs of our young people and maximising opportunities for their development

Providing support to the deputy/manager of the home whilst on shift and performing senior duties as directed

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience in a children’s home setting (essential)
  • Passion to help nurture young people.
  • Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins (rota plan given in advance but likely to be 1 on, 2 off)
  • Full, UK driving licence (essential)

We’re currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join a team across school sites in Surrey. You will be working from 3 school sites in Smallfield, Caterham and Effingham.

With your team members, you will be responsible for ensuring that all matters relating to the continuous operation, grounds and equipment are maintained in such a way that ensures a high quality site service is provided at all times thus ensuring the safeguarding, health, safety and general well-being of all those accessing the site.

You will be working with the premises manager you will also contribute to the development of the services through site expansion projects and integrating new/developed buildings.

Students range from 6 – 16 years old across the sites with difficulties with communication and social interaction, typically associated with Autism.
