Our client is a well-established, multi-site, food manufacturer based in the heart of North Yorkshire. Based across their sites, they have seen impressive growth year on year, with further growth plans for 2024. They supply their products into brand named manufacturers that supplies most retailers in the UK. An opportunity for an Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis at their Thirsk site.
Duties:
- Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant – includes pneumatic and hydraulics
- Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture and familiar with safe system of work (Permit to Work systems)
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
- Strong communication and organisational skills – able to provide detailed shift reports
- Experience of working as part of a Maintenance Team on a manufacturing site
- Demonstrate effective systematic problem-solving skills
- Able to work autonomously and react quickly in a high pressure situation
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Role Requirements:
- Technical school higher qualification (NVQ Level 3)
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Post Apprentice experience
- Electrical qualification – training provided
- PC literate and competent computer skills
- Working knowledge of technical English (verbal and written)
