Job Description

You will be responsible for effectively carrying out all the required functions once trained to do so.

* Physical intake and dispatch of product
* Physical optimisation of material flow
* Physical investigation of stock variances as required
* Loading of vehicles and unloading of vehicles
* Goods in and out coordination
* Stock checking and other reasonable tasks as agreed with Team Leader
* General Housekeeping

All work must be carried out in a timely fashion to a high standard of accuracy.

Hours of Work

Various shifts available –

Monday – Friday – 6am – 2pm – £13ph

Monday – Friday – 8am – 4pm – £13ph

All overtime paid after 40 hours worked within the week.

Requirements

* At least 1 years’ experience is an advantage within a warehouse operation
* Knowledge of WMS Systems advantage
* Advanced numeracy and literacy skills.
* Ability to work weekends due to shift patterns
* Proven experience of communicating effectively whilst building effective relationships
* Must be able to demonstrate their ability to work towards targets set by Team Leader

Experience/Qualifications/Skills:

Essential:

  • A degree in engineering (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline, complemented by substantial demonstrable experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, delivering activities across a variety of project types.
  • Demonstrated experience in tackling a wide range of tasks, spanning different levels of complexity.
  • Strong communication skills and the capability to interface effectively with professionals from other disciplines.
  • You are someone who owns and delivers, who champions high performance and is courageous to challenge the status quo.

Desirable:

  • Membership in a relevant institute or substantial demonstrable engineering experience, making you eligible for registration with the Engineering Council.
  • Proficiency in managing engineering scope for projects, from initial concept design to full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases.
  • Chartered Engineer status (or active pursuit of Chartered status).

As a General Merchandiser you will work under the guidance of the team lead for high street names in a fast-paced retail environment. It will be your responsibility to unpack and display products on the shop floor in line with brand standards set down by the client. A wide variety of stock will need to be handled in an appropriate and efficient manner to ensure tight timeframes are met and customer’s expectations are exceeded.

As a General Merchandiser you will:

  • Locate stock in a warehouse and bring to the shop floor
  • Unpack product and accurately replenish stock on shelves
  • Arrange stock in a visually appealing way
  • Good housekeeping standards
  • Separate packaging waste and dispose of as per store requirements
  • Ensure all product matches SEL and is priced correctly
  • Adhere to RMS /Client health and safety regulations

Project Support Coordinator

A Project Support Coordinator is sought by a busy construction and facilities management company who specialise in the transport infrastructure sector.

You will work closely with the General Manager to fulfil the following responsibilities: –

  • Support the company management and project teams when mobilising/demobilising projects throughout the country including ensuring site set up documentation is ready for the start of the project and that all sub-contractors being utilised are approved suppliers and competency certificates are obtained for retention on the electronic site files.
  • Provide support with the integrated management system including; HSEQ and ISO audits, NCR register, vendor assessments, preparing for management review and assisting with internal audits.
  • Assist with the potential implementation of the Document Management system for future operational projects, including training the Team, uploading required documentation and developing/building forms.
  • Be involved in the preparation and completion on PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires) and industry SHEQ accreditation renewals such as Constructionline & Safecontractor including uploading annual insurance renewals and policy updates.
  • Maintain staff training records on the internal database system, ensuring that all identified training needs are sourced and booked for the Team.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role within a construction & engineering environment. You will need to be comfortable working in a small but busy office environment, a good level of proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel) and GCSE Maths and English at Grade c or above (or equivalent qualification)

Experience of Quality Systems experience and familiarity with ISO standards and use of COINS system would be an advantage.

In terms of personal qualities, you will need to be calm under pressure, be able to work well in a small team, have a flexible approach to work, willing to get stuck in and get tasks done, good organisational skills and be ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, internally and externally at all levels
