My client is looking for a CNC Milling Machine Programmer to join their Rugby site for a permanent position. This is a privately owned dynamic engineering business that offers a range of services including:

  • 24/7 Breakdown/maintenance Support
  • Machining/fabrication/sheet metal facility
  • Refurbishment & Repair
  • Reverse Engineering
  • Automation/Assistors
  • Design, Manufacture, Installation & Project Management

The business is varied, and fast moving, with short lead times and an emphasis on customer service. It is not a typical manufacturing business, but more focused on being a service provider by supporting its customers to maintain their production output and improve their efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Programming, setting and running Siemens 828D controlled CNC Milling Machines
  • Inspection of work
  • Sourcing material from store and cutting accordingly.
  • Deburr all work.
  • Signing Job cards

Hours of work

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 7am until 4pm
  • (30 mins lunch)
  • Friday 7am until Midday.
  • There is also plenty of overtime

This is a privately owned dynamic engineering business that offers a range of services including:

  • (30 mins lunch)
  • Friday 7am until Midday.

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Manager on a rolling 12-month contract, to join a multinational, automotive manufacturer based in the Warwickshire area.

Location: Hams Hall

Pay rate: £21.88ph

Standard working hours: 37.5hours per week

The role of the Technical Support Manager is to provide knowledgeable and hands on support services to the Facilities Management Division.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You will be required to perform planning and controlling tasks that are necessary for the reconstruction, operation, and management as well as maintaining the function, value, and approval of technical facilities.
  • Development of the asset management programme to ensure stability and reliability of the technical planning.
  • Management of the lifecycle planning process
  • Ensure the asset management register is kept up to date.
  • Develop, manage, and coordinate the building and technical equipment surveying programmes.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and compliance is adhered to through the development and monitoring of process performance, including the validation of service delivery.

Candidate Specification:

  • You must have successfully completed technical studies in the field of facility management of a comparable qualification.
  • Good working knowledge of new technologies, innovations, and industry specific IT applications e.g., SAP, CAFM, BIM, IWMS, etc.
  • Good working knowledge of Real Estate technical and building asset management “Life Cycle” planning including strategy management.
  • Working knowledge of asset management instruments such as ISO-55000, 1, 2.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise with strong self-management skills.
  • A good reliable home broadband service to support the works to be done from home.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to effectively use Teams & Skype for remote meetings.
  • Full UK driving license and own transport to be able to travel to the BMW Sites across the UK as necessary.
  • Bi-lingual – English & German would be beneficial

Location: Hams Hall with some travel around the UK when required

The role of the Business Performance Manager is to support the Facilities Management division to identify lead initiatives that drive the culture of continuous improvement. This is a constantly evolving role depending on the needs of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process management, process mapping, process development and compiling reports
  • Interacting with internal and external customers, and working closely with other departments
  • Support the digitalisation of processes in conjunction with the FM-IT target picture.
  • You will be required to provide hands on support and knowledge to the UK Planning Manager and the Facility and Energy Management team to advise on associated elements.
  • Evaluating and analysing processes (i.e., mapping)
  • Using and understanding quality data analytics, creating knowledge out of performance & process data in relation to Quality Assurance and the performance of external providers and then reporting your findings to the Asset Management team.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Key Performance Indicator for the outsourced processes and internal performance.
  • Supporting the onsite teams
  • Willingness to travel to other sites around the UK as and when requested.

Candidate specification

  • Must have working knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2015.
  • Good working knowledge of new technologies, innovations, and industry-specific IT applications with a focus on digitalisation (e.g., SAP, CAFM, IWMS, etc.).
  • Good working knowledge of Real Estate ‘technical and building’ asset management “Life Cycle” planning including strategy management.
  • Successfully completed technical studies or studies in the field of facility management or a comparable qualification.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to effectively use Teams & Skype for remote meetings.
  • Full UK driving license and own transport to be able to travel to other Sites across the UK as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
