Production Technician – Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

K&D Recruitment is supporting a local client who is looking for a Technician to join their team. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent.

As a Technician, you will be responsible for repairing containers on a daily basis, using various hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, grinders, hammers, and chisels. Full training will be provided, so previous experience with hand tools is all that’s required.

You will be joining an experienced and supportive team, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.

Role Details:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

  • PPE: Safety boots required (all other PPE provided)

Our client is seeking a Depot & Transport Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of their depot. You’ll support the Depot Manager and wider team with daily admin tasks, route planning, and transport compliance, making sure the service to customers is efficient, accurate, and reliable.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the Depot Manager with daily plans and admin
  • Plan efficient delivery and collection routes
  • Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams

Our client, a leading supplier of lifting and access equipment across the UK and Europe, is seeking an experienced and motivated engineer to join their busy workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to work on new build machinery, complete pre-delivery inspections, and support the maintenance and refurbishment of equipment. Full training on all equipment will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of safety systems, calibration, and testing of machinery

  • Prepare equipment for delivery, including decals, testing, and paint touch-ups

  • Refurbish and repair older machines

  • Diagnose faults and provide technical support to field engineers

  • Assist training staff in delivering customer-focused engineering training

  • Support R&D and dealer network with maintenance and testing

  • Maintain accurate records of engineering work, health & safety, and customer service

  • Promote and maintain high standards of workplace health & safety

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Electrical engineering experience (12/24v DC automotive / plant systems)

  • Ability to read and work from electrical and hydraulic diagrams

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Level 2 or 3 engineering qualification

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality work

  • Understanding of health & safety requirements

  • Customer-facing and administrative skills

  • Driving licence

  • Experience with communication systems (e.g., CAN bus) is desirable but not essential
