Job Description for the Supply Chain Assistant:

As a Supply Chain Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain processes.

You will work closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, manage inventory levels, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities for the Supply Chain Assistant:

  • Assist in the coordination and management of the supply chain processes from procurement to delivery.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Support the procurement team in sourcing and purchasing materials and services.
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and invoices.
  • Track and report on key supply chain metrics and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production, logistics, and sales, to optimize the supply chain operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of supply chain strategies and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills for the Supply Chain Assistant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics role is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Knowledge of supply chain software and tools is a plus.

£47k+ for an electrical multi-skilled engineer

Opportunity of 5% bonus based on the plant performance KPI’s.

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that the depot fixed and mobile assets, have a greater than 95% availability through both planned and unplanned maintenance, carried out in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.

My client provides sustainable solutions for the manufacture of recycled paper and packaging.

Main Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer position:

  • To comply with all H&S regulations regarding equipment installations, maintenance and daily inspections and report any operational issues.
  • To ensure that all contract targets are met and all best practices and legal compliances for maintaining equipment are adhered to at all times.
  • To ensure that the depot is maintained allowing the facility to be operated at its optimum.
  • Keeps accurate maintenance record keeping against planned and unplanned maintenance work.
  • Complete defect reports in a timely manner and report into the line manager.
  • To plan, follow up and document the preventive maintenance for the equipment.
  • To manage the relationship with maintenance subcontractors
  • Managing subcontractors for invoicing on time and correctly
  • Manage spare parts stock
  • Chase subcontractors for daily updates on equipment services
  • To find alternatives to get a repair done
  • Find spare parts alternatives
  • To evaluate current service subcontractors and equipment suppliers
  • Compliance with all administrative policies.
  • To maintain industry sector knowledge, especially Best Available Techniques ( BAT)

Work alongside two apprentice engineers

Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager in accordance with the scope and the responsibilities of the role.

Recommended Personal Profile for the Maintenance Engineer position:

  • Mechanical or electrical engineer qualifications – Essential
  • 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance roles.
  • Significant practical engineering experience
  • Experience of automated equipment including recycling machinery, sortation and conveyor systems
  • Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems

Specific training for the Maintenance Engineer position:

  • Maximo – Desirable
  • IOSH / NEBOSH
  • Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
