Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to support vulnerable young people on a temporary to permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker:

  • Provide housing-related support to young adults with ADHD, Autism and substance misuse needs.
  • Support clients within supported housing and through outreach services.
  • Help clients build independent living skills and maintain their accommodation.
  • Support clients to access employment, training, education and community activities.
  • Use coaching and strengths-based approached to build confidence and resilience.
  • Assist with housing management and general support duties.
  • Liaise with external agencies and raise safeguarding concerns when required.

Essential Requirements of the Housing Support Worker:

  • Enhanced DBS

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who are recruiting for a Housing Support Worker in Blackburn, Manchester. The successful candidate will be allocated a number of shifts with some late nights up to 8pm and occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker includes:

  • Working with a variety of clients with complex needs including homelessness, substance misuse and young offenders
  • Signposting clients to other services within the community
  • Completing housing benefit, council tax and universal credit claims
  • Conducting risk and needs assessments

Requirements of the Housing Support Worker:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Flexibility around shifts – including some late nights and weekend work
