Hamilton Woods Associates are recruiting for x2 Data Cabling Engineers to work on several theatres across London on a 2-3 month contract. The role will be working 8am- 5pm Monday to Friday. The contracts are due to start from the beginning of October.

Responsibilities of the Data Cabling Engineer includes:

  • Running data cabling into containment from access point to comms room in theatres across London such as the Apollo Theatre, Lyceum Theatre and Savoy Theatre

Requirements of the Data Cabling Engineer:

  • Possesses own hand tools
  • Previous experience of running data cabling

Hamilton Woods Associates are working with a highly successful voice and data cabling business that are specialists in designing and installing voice and data copper cabling, fibre optics and wireless solutions.

We are looking to recruit to an experienced Data Cabling Engineer to work within an existing team of electricians on projects across the UK.

Due to this, you may be expected to work away from home (hotels plus overnight allowance provided). Weekend work and night work may also be required to suit client requirements.

Responsibilities of the Data Cabling Engineer includes:

  • Carrying out the installation, termination, troubleshooting and testing of both copper and fibre optic cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6e, Singlemode and Multimode
  • Utilising Fluke DSX testers (for fibre and copper installations), in both testing and uploading
  • Working to electrical site drawings, and following a labelling system

Requirements of the Data Cabling Engineer:

  • IPAF (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving License (essential)
  • City & Guilds 3666/3667
  • CSCS or ECS Card (essential)
  • Previous experience of running data cabling in complex environments

My client, a successful and well-respected manufacturing business in Greater Manchester, is seeking Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines through your expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and automation solutions for our food manufacturing processes.
  • Implement and program PLC systems to optimise production efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation integration.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical or automation issues that arise, minimising production disruptions.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on the operation and maintenance of electrical and automation systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering and automation.

What will we need from you?

  • HND or HNC in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial automation.
  • Proficient in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.
  • Familiarity with electrical control panel design and electrical codes and regulations.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical and automation systems and diagnosing issues effectively.
