Electrical Test & Commissioning Engineer

This role would suit an experienced test or commissioning engineer who enjoys variety and can apply engineering principles to solve technical solutions. Your main responsibilities will include: –

* Responsible and accountable for safe and successful testing of electrical panels and control systems
* Correct interpretation of customer requirements/specification/designs/drawings
* Communicating with wireman, engineers and customers throughout the testing or commissioning phase
* Quality assure your work as you go
* Creating detailed mark-ups and snag list for resolution
* Contribute to the continuous improvement cycle with your expertise and experience.
* Undertake site installations, commissioning, FAT, SAT etc. as required.
* Creation of reports, technical documentation, and certifications (as required)
* Managing and prioritising own workload to meet deadlines and company requirements.
* Responsible for keeping own knowledge and skills up to date and relevant.

This is a Permanent, full-time role that is 80% factory/office based and 20% site based (installs, commissioning etc.) Core hours: Monday-Friday (37hr week) – 07:30-16:00 Mon-Thurs. 07:30-12:30 Friday

The successful candidate will have 3 years Electrical Test & Commissioning experience with a good knowledge of industrial control panels. You will need experience of machinery control systems understanding and experience with PLC software (loading, commissioning, minor changes). You will need some proficiency with 2D Electrical CAD system with panel wiring or site installation experience an advantage.

You will need to be suitably qualified in electrical engineering and test, be IT literate, have good problem-solving skills and have a strong attention to detail.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Technical Sales Engineer with pneumatics experience to join a dynamic sales team.

Covering the South of England you will be responsible for identifying and developing sales prospects to grow revenue within your territory.

Reporting to the UK Sales Manager your key responsibilities will be: –

  • Delivering market share through achievement of company sales target.
  • Produce, implement, and maintain area plans for sufficient accounts such that personal targets are achieved.
    Prepare and implement an Account Development plan for key accounts.
  • To construct fixed meetings with current and new accounts.
  • Identify, qualify, and register new business users.

The Person

The role requires a highly motivated and technically qualified salesperson who is results orientated; a self-starter who can work autonomously as well as part of a team

You will be able to demonstrate a strong and successful technical sales background, have ideally worked in pneumatics or engineering and have a solid knowledge of the industry.

The key skills required for this role are:

  • Good organisational, planning, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic equipment including cylinders, valves, air treatment and handling equipment.
  • Strong product presentation skills.
  • Ability to research for new OEM business within the pneumatics and automation industry
  • Able to make own planned appointments and make introductions and presentations face-to-face with customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Sound sense of responsibility, attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • IT skills – SAP, CRM, Microsoft Word, XP, Excel, Explorer, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Electronics R&D Technician

An Electronics R&D & Test Technician is needed by a busy manufacturing company near Gateshead

You will build and test prototype circuits and mechanical assemblies to concept designs, assembly and soldering of Printed Circuit Boards and assist with the wiring of control panels and electronic assemblies. You will also design support and test circuits, specify and source components and assist with the development of production solutions. There will be some working away occasionally.

The ideal candidate will have an ONC Electrical / Electronic Engineering and experience of PCB Assembly, cable preparation and harnessing, wiring of electrical panels and implementation of test methods.

Plater Main Duties: Working with structural steel. The Plater must be able to read engineering drawings, measure and check components and have some other basic skills including grinding.

Principal Nuclear Process Engineer

A Principal Process Engineer with experience of working in the Nuclear industry is needed for a long-term contract role with a leading Engineering company

THE JOB

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary projects team you will be responsible for oversight for the full scope of process design work. You will define, implement and deliver the process engineering element of engineering packages and work closely with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure successful delivery. You will lead / manage MDTs, carry out Operational Research (OR) Modelling (using one of the following packages Simul8, Innov8, Witness, Doors) and provide engineering leadership and expertise to other team members. The role also includes responsibility for the update, production and ensuring the correct governance of various technical reports, assessments and specifications to support the delivery of the project

YOUR SKILLS

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified with Chartered Status preferred and be experienced at working in the Nuclear industry (although engineers from other heavily regulated industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas and Water will be considered. You will need a good knowledge of DSEAR & CDM Regulations and have 5 years experience in a similar role. You will also need the ability to provide strategic guidance based on knowledge and experience of projects across a portfolio to inform and direct projects and programmes.

Knowledge of the Sellafield Ltd Management System (SLMS) would be an advantage as is experience of implementing R&D / technical work into plant design and knowledge of powder handling facilities

Candidates must have a full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. Successful candidates must be able to pass a Security Clearance check to obtain a Sellafield P4 pass. The role holder should preferably hold SC clearance or have started their application, with the belief that there should be no grounds for this level of clearance to be denied . Current possession of a P4 Sellafield pass and security SC Level would be ideal

WORK FROM HOME

The company offer hybrid / home working opportunities but candidates must be able to travel to offices / sites in the North West & Midlands when necessary for internal or customer meetings, site inspections, commissioning activities etc.

This is a 12 month rolling contract and will suit an experienced Engineer who is happy to work on a portfolio of projects of varying lengths.
