About the Role:
Driving and Transporting:
Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) to transport pallets and materials around the shop floor.
Efficiently move products between different production areas, ensuring timely delivery to meet production schedules.

Loading and Unloading:
Unload incoming lorries and transport materials to designated storage areas.
Load finished products onto lorries for distribution, ensuring proper securing and organization.

Health and Safety:
Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines and protocols.
Conduct pre-operational checks on the FLT to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

Collaboration:
Work closely with production and warehouse teams to support seamless operations.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate material movements.

Job Title: Despatch Operative

Location: Kanes Food, Evesham WR11 8JS

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shift, 6:00-18:00, 2-week rotation
Week 1: 3 days work, 4 days off
Week 2: 4 days work, 3 days off

We operate with two rotating shifts (Red & Blue), allowing for flexibility in choosing your workdays. The red shift is from Sunday to Wednesday or Thursday, while the blue shift covers Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday.
Breaks: 2x20min and 1×30 min

Pay Rate:
£14.14 per hour – Basic

About The Role:

As a Despatch Operative at Kanes Food, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of products from our production lines to our customers. Reporting directly to the Logistics Shift Manager, you will be an integral part of the logistics team, contributing to the smooth and timely dispatch of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support:
– Support the Logistics Shift Manager in delivering the operational goals and objectives for the shift.
– Maintain quality of service and SKU/finished product integrity.

Product Handling:
– Ensure the efficient and accurate handover/receipt of finished products from the Production Team.
– Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient picking of finished products to match customers’ needs and deadlines.
– Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient loading of finished products to meet customers’ needs and deadlines.

Documentation:
– Ensure timely and accurate provision of documentation related to dispatched products.
– Ensure all products meet specifications, including recording of temperature.
– Report all non-conforming products to the shift manager.

Technology Utilization:
– Use information technology effectively in support of the above tasks when required.Knowledge, Competence, Experience, and Qualifications Required:

Requirements:

Warehouse experience: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification: Forklift/Powered Truck licence (required)

Knowledge, Competence, Experience, and Qualifications:
– Numerate.
