Senior Commercial Manager – OOH/ Foodservice

This role is responsible for managing 2 Major customers-Pret and a QSR Build and site relationships to support our growth plans with current live customers and our new business pipeline.

Main Duties / responsibilities /outputs

  • Supporting the Customer Director with ensuring excellence at all touch points with key customers
  • Line management responsibility for Commercial Executive
  • Achieving excellence through building/managing successful cross functional relationships throughout the business
  • Management of the New Business pipeline for Foodservice and the supporting contact strateg
  • Responsible for customer cost price models and securing raw material changes within the agreed timescales.

Essential Criteria

· Graduate calibre with minimum 5 years commercial experience within Food industry

· Customer focus with proven ability in developing & managing relationships at all levels / across functions internally / externally

· Positive & tenacious attitude with a drive to make a difference

Qualifications [Accredited]

Machine Operative

What’s in it for a Weekend Shift Machine Operative:

My client is a well-established, beverage manufacturer based in the Leeming Bar area. Based across their site, they have seen impressive growth year on year, with further growth plans for 2022 and 2023! They work with brand name companies that supply most retailers in the UK. An opportunity has arisen for a number of Machine Operatives to join their Weekend Shift Team on a long-term basis.

This opportunity as a Machine Operative gives you the chance to work with one of the most respected companies in the UK who can offer genuine career opportunities.

Shift Pattern:

  • Morning 6am – 2pm, Afternoon 2 pm – 10 pm , Night 10 pm – 6am
  • Monday to Friday

Machine Operative Duties:

  • Working with computer-based machinery
  • Working a permanent day shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Moving finished pallets into the correct locations
  • Working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Effectively quality check on the lines reacting accordingly to anomalies
  • Fulfil and complete all procedural requirements and paperwork to a high standard
  • Liaise with shift engineers regarding machine faults or issues
  • Actively clean working environment during job changes
  • To undertake additional training as required
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with shift managers and co-workers
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times

Machine Operative Role Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • An in-date FLT Counterbalance Licence (Desirable)
  • Experience of working in a target driven environment
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Must be consistent in keeping your work area tidy
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on season
  • Communicates effectively on all levels
  • Comfortable using computer systems
  • The ability to follow strict processes

This opportunity gives a Production Operator the chance to work with one of the most respected companies in UK. They offer not only an excellent package, but more importantly in today’s world, job security.

The role will be to cover a 12 hour continental shift pattern. 4 on ( 2 days followed by 2 nights) 4 off.

Your primary responsibility is to produce products, following strict guidelines to make sure the product is safe and legal.

Machine Operative Main Duties:

  • Setting up machinery to job specifications
  • Efficient reporting of any mechanical or health and safety issues on site
  • Operate the manufacturing equipment safely and as efficiently as possible
  • Following company processes to receive materials and load product materials in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure all required records are kept accurate and up to date
  • Assist with equipment maintenance as needed
  • Actively clean working environment during job changes
  • To undertake additional training as required
  • Adhere to all health & safety policies at all times
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with managers and co-workers.

Production Operative Role Requirements:

  • Must have experience of working in a production / manufacturing capacity
  • Food Safety Qualifications (Desirable)
  • Be a team player with a drive to succeed
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety practices
  • Excellent communication
