We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative with FLT Counterbalance and Reach licence to join our busy client. Part of work is using FLT Counterbalance and Reach (not 100% driving), job involves general warehouse duties: ss Warehouse Operative you will play a key part in maintaining daily production workflow to help achieve or improve on time delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring material deliveries are accurate and are communicated to internal customers to ensure continuous production without delays while playing a key role in enhancing material traceability systems. Your experience will play a vital role in this position and you will be open to material certification training and development. Right candidate will work collaboratively with the team, communicating order discrepancies and escalating any areas of concern to the Supervisor. You will receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all raw materials, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client provided materials on site and handle and store all materials and equipment in compliance with the requirements set out in datasheets, you will follow specifications dictated by on-site Health & Safety and Quality functions.
Main responsibilities:
* Checking accuracy of delivery lines and relocating materials into Goods In
* Checking and confirming materials according to purchase order; highlighting discrepancies
* Maintaining material traceability and logging accurate deliveries into the system
* Analysing and logging material certification, informing Quality Assurance of any irregularities
* Attending and contributing to daily meeting, participating in accurate daily cycle counting
* Updating project material document as and when deliveries arrive to eliminate production delays
* Picking and issuing materials as detailed on a parts list, electronically and physically, ensuring full material traceability
* Maintaining stores and yard areas housekeeping 5S
* Identifying and make recommendations on areas of improvement
* Conducting all material movements in accordance with the company’s safe working practices
* Carrying out daily forklift inspections highlighting any areas requiring maintenance or safety risks
* Being fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times
Shift Pattern:
– Day shift rotating
– Week 1 Monday – Thursday 6am – 2pm, Friday 6am – 12pm
– Week 2 Monday – Thursday 2pm – 10pm, Friday 12pm – 6pm
Pay rate:
– £12.30ph
– Temporary position length 6 months, high possibility for permanent position after that
Skills and Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years experience in working in warehouse environment
- Valid FLT Counterbalance and Reach licence (we cannot accept in-house licences)
- Problem solver who can suggest solutions that are effective in addressing the problem at hand
* Capable of technical learning – keeping up to date knowledge of products, services and systems
* Ability to understand, evaluate and apply technical information and functional skills
* Be willing to provide colleagues with the information they need to complete their tasks and eliminate roadblocks
* Ability to apportion time effectively to complete tasks
* Will be energized by challenges and drawn towards opportunities with positive attitude towards tasks
* Active listener and a candid team player
* Imbued with a strong sense of customer focus - Carrying out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions, will contribute to general improvements

- Carrying out all duties safely and in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training and instruction
