Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new products – aligned with the business strategy and vison

Skills and experience;

Role

  • The Engineering Shift Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing all maintenance engineering activities whilst on shift.
  • Supporting the team to ensure that maximum uptime is achieved by using exacting engineering standards in the most efficient ways possible and that best practices is used to achieve and maintain maintenance standards.
  • Manage, coach and mentor their direct reports by modelling best practice and demonstrating how to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.

About you

  • Formal engineering qualification to at least City and Guilds level, ONC/HNC level or equivalent or extensive experience working as an engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of supervising/managing a team.
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Hours of Work

  • Monday – Friday / 8am – 4pm

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for the management and development of Team Leaders and colleagues within their zones.
  • Leading your section on all food safety, health & safety and quality standards adherence.
  • Being the Section lead for customer visits and audits, ensuring effective planning, co-ordination and delivery.
  • With direction from the Production Manager, implement continuous improvement initiatives across a range of areas.
  • Carrying out line side SICs to filter information to the Production Manager for the shift SICs.
  • Utilising allocated resources within your section. Escalate shortfalls in resource, supply chain or asset reliability when required.
  • Implementing processes and procedures to ensure the effective capture of data for further analysis by senior management.
  • Ensuring consistency in the application of the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Developing and reviewing SOPs for designated areas.
  • On request, deputise for the Area Production Manager.

My client, due to heavy investment and strong growth is seeking a Technical / Quality Improvement Manager.

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will support the site with improving technical efficiencies, and improvements at a bust food manufacturing site.

You will have excellent communication and leaderships skills. As a people person you will support and developing the technical team.

You will be KPI focused based on safety, quality, delivery

This is an opportunity to really make a difference, drive change and continuous improvement within a well invested manufacturing facility.

Skills and experience.

  • Working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment within a technical management role
  • Experience of BRC accreditation, HACCP implementation, customer audits and QSM (Quality System Management)
  • Focused on continuous improvement, efficiencies and LEAN processes, results driven
  • Strong communicator
  • Leadership and coaching skills, keen to develop, educate and drive change from within- must be able to demonstrate how you have achieved this previously
  • Food Hygiene Level 4, HACCP Level 4 and IOSH understanding

Role;

  • Salary- DOE
  • Hours- 8.45am-5pm Monday to Thursday. Friday 4pm finish
