Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Deputy Housing Manager to assist in the management of an effective service to support vulnerable clients, on a permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Deputy Housing Manager:

  • Assist in the management of the referral process to achieve target levels
  • Supervise and help support the development of staff directed by the line manager
  • Support Housing Officers in providing information and advice regarding Welfare Benefits
  • Ensure client’s income is maximised in order to live independently
  • Oversee housing management complaints
  • Work with colleagues to prevent evictions
  • Signpost and liaise with third party agencies

Essential Requirements of the Deputy Housing Manager:

  • A practicing Christian
  • Enhanced DBS
  • QCF Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care

Duties and Responsibilities of the Housing Services Manager:

  • Ensure that the delivery of services to a diverse client base with low needs, is managed safely and efficiently and to a high quality
  • Ensure all rent payments are collected
  • Lead regular team meetings
  • Manage the referral process to achieve agreed occupancy levels
  • Liaise with other housing providers to build and maintain move-on facilities for clients
  • Ensure records are kept up to date and stored in line with guidelines

Essential Requirements of the Housing Services Manager:

  • A practicing Christian
  • Enhanced DBS

  • Be responsible for the collection and management of rental income against set targets and procedures
  • Handle enquiries from tenants
  • Be aware of current legislation relating to housing and welfare reform
  • Take appropriate legal action in relation to rent arrears
  • Attend court if necessary

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Attend possible court proceedings and support customers who need help to avoid tenancy failure
  • Liaise with third party agencies
  • Deal with ASB
