Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer role for a public sector company, on a full-time basis. The required hours for the Housing Officer are 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday. The role will predominantly be based within Dewsbury, with travel required across West Yorkshire at times.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Housing Officer:

  • Maintain and manage information systems to ensure all contracts, agreements and data is accurate and up to date.
  • Address low-level anti-social behaviour, including investigations, mediation, working with care & support providers.
  • Take first-time payments of rent and other charges when tenants sign up, assisting customers having difficulties with rent payments and other debts.
  • Ensure new clients understand the responsibilities of their tenancy/license before they sign it.
  • Work with property services, lettings and partner agencies to ensure vacant properties are let promptly.
  • Be the key contact for partner organisations, dealing with day-to-day enquiries, building positive working relationships.
  • Co-ordinate and perform desktop and on-site audits to ensure compliance is being met.

Requirements of the Housing Officer:

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle is essential.
  • Former Housing experience is essential.

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working with a Christian based organisation that supports those with offending issues to live crime-free lives. They are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer to join their Brent based project, which supports males with low level needs.

Responsibilities of the Housing Officer:

  • Assisting in the referral process
  • Assessing and managing risk to clients
  • Promoting and client’s involvement with the project
  • Ensuring prospective and former tenants are supported via home visits
  • Encouraging tenancy sustainment
  • Providing information to clients and advising on Welfare Benefits
  • Addressing rent arrears
  • Maintaining and updating accurate and confidential records
  • Liaising with statutory agencies

Requirements of the Housing Officer:

  • UK Driving License and access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS – or willing to undergo one

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer for a public sector organisation, on a temporary 12-month basis. The required hours for the post are 17.5 hours a week over 3 days. Some home working will be available.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Neighbourhood Officer:

  • Delivering an intensive housing management service to tenants
  • Completing regular inspections of communal areas
  • Carrying out regular H&S checks
  • Ensuring void targets are met and void turnaround is minimised
  • Completing tenancy sign ups and preparing new tenancy packs
  • Managing low level rent arrears
  • Investigating and resolving low level ASB issues
  • Completing home visits to tenants
  • Managing breaches of tenancy

Requirements of the Neighbourhood Officer:

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle is essential
  • Clear enhanced DBS within the last 3 years
