Mechanical Fitter – Doncaster £19.05 per hour with an average hourly bonus of £1.80
Job Role:
This role will involve carrying out fault finding and repair activities in the event of any breakdowns. In addition, planned maintenance schedules and projects, including supporting drawings and documents will be undertaken in line with scheduling.
Main Duties:
Working in line with H&S procedures and policy
Keeping accurate records of any maintenance and repairs
Basic welding and fabrication
Repairing all machinery including gearboxes, pumps, belt and chain drives etc
Working with hydraulic systems and components
Unloading and storage of all stock and maintenance deliveries
Operating to and creating any risk assessments and method statements
Working from AutoCAD drawings including reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
General housekeeping duties
Any other reasonable duties
Experience:
Mechanical Apprenticeship, preferably to C&G or NVQ3 standard
experience of working in Heavy Industry / Building Products
Excellent communication skills
ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
ability to work under pressure during breakdowns
ability to work at heights and confined spaces
working on a continental shift of 2day shift, 2 night shifts and 4 days off, this role will require working weekend and night shifts
