A Mechanically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Technician is sought by a manufacturing company in Gateshead
Working within a busy maintenance department you will have the following responsibilities: –
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plant & equipment to a high standard
- Respond to breakdowns on production machines
- Identify and order spare parts
- Complete records using maintenance management system
- Read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Project work
- Comfortable to work continental shift pattern
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be a Time served multi-skilled with an mechanical bias with good hydraulics and pneumatics skills. You will need to be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings, carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and work with the OEM machine technicians when required. Ideally you will be HNC qualified in Electrical Engineering and will need to be computer literate and have familiarity with stock control and spreadsheets
This role is working on a continental pattern of 3 on, 3 off – 12 hour shifts, days and nights. Every 4 weeks the pattern incorporates an 8 day break. There is contractual requirement to work 1 additional Saturday night and Sunday day when required.
