Electronics Test Technician

An Electronics Test Technician is needed by a busy engineering company to join their team

Working closely with the design and production teams you will check that products are correctly built and conform to test procedures. This will include programming a range of processors. You will perform tests based on set procedures and recommendation for improvements in the efficiency of testing, fault find down to component level aided with circuit diagrams and maintain test equipment used to interface product under test.

You will also design and build test equipment required to improve testing efficiency of the Companies products, assist team members with fault finding and the development of new products and adhere to all quality & health and safety standards e.g. Failure reporting systems

YOUR SKILLS

The successful candidate will have a HNC or Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent and some experience of electrical & electronics testing within a manufacturing environment. You will also have experience of using general test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators and current meters). You will need to be able to fault find down to component level and be able to communicate with staff at all levels.

QA manager 3-6 months Fixed term contract

Reporting into the Technical function, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day quality assurance activities across the site and ensuring that products consistently meet customer, legal, and company requirements.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong stakeholder management skills, with regular interaction across Operations, Production, Supply Chain, and Technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the QA team on site.
  • Ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, and food safety standards.
  • Drive GMP standards and promote a strong quality culture throughout the business.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Production and Operations teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor quality systems and ensure all documentation is maintained and up to date.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

About You

We’re looking for an individual who can hit the ground running and quickly build credibility across the business.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a QA Manager, Quality Manager, or Senior QA position within food manufacturing.
  • Bakery experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of BRCGS, HACCP, and food safety legislation.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
