Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a HR Administrator that will be working from home for an organisation, on a temporary basis to act as the first line of support in HR.

Duties and Responsibilities of the HR Administrator:

  • Act as the first line of support in HR and provide advice and support for employee relation issues
  • Ensure the accurate interpretation and implementation of HR policies, procedures and agreements are in accordance with legislation, business objectives and employment law
  • Participate and support managers and staff throughout all stages of the disciplinary and grievance process as appropriate
  • Carry out note taking during investigations and hearings
  • Collate report papers as required
  • Ensure all HR processes operative effectively in compliance with organisation policy and legislative requirements
  • Monitor sickness and absence levels and support managers with appropriate actions inline with the organisations policies
  • Carry out pre-employment checks and process Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) applications accurately

Essential Requirements of the HR Administrator:

  • Experience in Employee Relations and TUPE
  • CIPD Level 5 in Human Resource Management (desirable)

Senior People Advisor

A Senior People Advisor is needed by a leading engineering company to join a dynamic and focused People team

You will be attached to key projects to provide a HR focal point advising the Project/Contract Manager (and their Project Leadership Teams) on all matters relating to good HR practice, terms and conditions of service, employment legislation and ER issues and cases, including performance management, absence management maternity, paternity, adoption, flexible working, grievances, disciplinaries and capability. You will also lead resource planning and forecasting activities, recruitment and onboarding processes and champion performance management process and to provide clear HR goals and objectives, feedback and development.

You will also review all standard Terms and Conditions of employment to ensure that they are appropriate for the project requirements, draft proposals for temporary changes to any part of these conditions where the specific needs of the project require bespoke arrangements, support change management initiatives and deliver accurate management information to shape business decisions, focusing on key metrics including recruitment, attrition, employee relations.

As a Senior People Advisor you will need the following qualifications, skills and personal qualities.

  • A CIPD Chartered Membership or working towards one
  • Relevant degree or tertiary level qualification
  • Experience in a HR Generalist role in a similar environment
  • Employee Relations case Management experience
  • Experience working on a project based role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to present self-confidently and professionally
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to challenge situations in line with HR best practice
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to effectively work alone or in groups and to work on own initiative
  • Ability to manage deadlines and deliverables and work in a high-pressured environment
  • A desire to progress into a more senior HR role
