Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer
My client, a successful and well-respected manufacturing business in Greater Manchester, is seeking Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
On a typical day, you will:
- Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines through your expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and automation solutions for our food manufacturing processes.
- Implement and program PLC systems to optimise production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation integration.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical or automation issues that arise, minimising production disruptions.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on the operation and maintenance of electrical and automation systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering and automation.
What will we need from you?
- HND or HNC in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial automation.
- Proficient in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.
- Familiarity with electrical control panel design and electrical codes and regulations.
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical and automation systems and diagnosing issues effectively.
