What is the Role?
As a Senior Residential Support Worker in a Children’s Therapeutic Home, you will play a vital role in providing care, support, and guidance to children and young individuals who have experienced trauma, challenging behaviours, and emotional difficulties. You will work closely with a team of professionals to create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment that promotes the overall well-being and development of the residents.
What are the requirements?
- Full level 3 in Residential Childcare or CYPW or equivalent
- Full driving license
- Must have at least 1 years experience within Residential Childcare
- A clean DBS
About you?
- Providing leadership and guidance to a team of support workers
- Implementing individualised care plans
- De-escalation techniques for challenging behaviours and utilise therapeutic approaches
- Documenting and reporting
- Maintaining records and assessments
- Engaging with families involving them in care and planning where appropriate
- knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and procedures related to Ofsted, Safeguarding
