Warehouse Operative

Major Recruitment are searching for mutiple Warehouse Operatives for an exciting warehouse in Biggleswade. If successful you will be working as part of the warehouse team to pick, re label and pack products to client specifications.

Pay rate – £10.00 – Saturdays £12.50 per hour.

Shift – 0900-1800 Monday to Friday and Saturdays 0800-1400.

The role-

  • Follow health and safety procedures.
  • Pick and pack customer orders in a timely manner using a hand scanner.
  • Process customer returns.
  • Rework orders to customer specifications such as price changing or bespoke packing for european stores.
  • Replenish stock into locations.

Our client offers a brand new state of the art facility and easily accessable by public transport. Occasional Saturdays will be required which will be paid at x1.25 of standard rate.

Warehouse Operatives

Major Recruitment are currently looking for a large number of Warehouse Operatives for our client based in Sittingbourne for on-going Temp-To-Perm work. You will be joining a well-established workplace on Sittingbourne’s Eurolink.

Shifts Patterns:
You will rotate through a combination of shifts on a weekly basis & as such you must be able to cover 1 of the following shift patterns to be eligible:

Shift Pattern 1:
– 07:00 – 15:00
– 15:00 – 23:00
– 23:00 – 07:00

Shift Pattern 2:
– 07:00 – 15:00
– 15:00 – 23:00
– Unpaid “Rest Week” (Possible Paid Shift Cover During This Week)

Pay Rates:
As this is a Temp-To-Perm position pay rates are £10.00 for the 1st 12 weeks.
After that the following options are available:
– Taken On By Client As A Permanent Employee
– Stay On With Agency On Enhanced Rates

Normal duties will include (but are not exclusive to):
* Picking & Packing
* Handling products

Warehouse Store Operator

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for warehouse operatives for our client – the UK’s leading supplier of aluminium glazing systems and bespoke aluminium extrusions based in Bristol.

Main Duties: Job Specific Tasks

  • Ensure that customer orders are picked in a safe and timely manner;
  • Ensure that all reasonable instructions from your Supervisor / Manager are completed;
  • Ensure that all stock is handled safely and so as not to cause any damage to either the product or the facilities;
  • Ensure that all orders when picked are presented to the highest possible standards;
  • Ensure that any damaged product is reported and isolated to ensure that it is not sent to the customer;
  • Co-operate with the checker to ensure that any picking errors are rectified prior to the goods leaving the building.

Main Duties: Health & Safety

  • Ensure that your working environment is kept clean and hazard free at all times;
  • Take responsibility for your health & Safety and that of others;
  • Assist any members of your team where needed;
  • Not to use any machinery unless you have been properly trained to do so;
  • Ensure that all H&S instructions are followed;
  • Immediately report any breaches of Health and Safety.

Working Hours and Salary:-

  • Fixed shifts of days 6.30am-2.30pm and lates 2:30pm – 10:30pm and nights 10:30pm-6.30am
  • £10.33 06:30-1pm
  • £11.36 1pm – 9pm
  • £11.88 9pm – 06:30am

Warehouse Team Leader (Night Shift)

We are currently recruiting for a Picking Section Team Manager (to work Night shifts) for a recognised supplier of dairy, fruit, meat, poultry, store cupboard essentials, sundries and vegetables products.


Leading the daily operations within their Picking Department ensuring accurate and timely picking processes of all orders with maximum efficiency.

The role will also include providing coaching assistance to the picking team members while maintaining all company policies and procedures.

Understanding and confirming full compliance to all Safety and Technical standards is imperative for this role.

Creating a positive and motivated energy with the team and shift to drive excellent levels of accuracy and quality to ensure great customer service.


· Partnering to ensure all picking deadlines and priority cut-off times are met.

· Living our passion for Quality and Product presentation aligned with our High-End customers’ expectations.

· Reviewing daily pick errors with pickers.

· Ensuring all routes are picked to meet deadlines while maintaining first-in-first out concept.

· Identifying special instructions on pick tickets to comply with Chef Support and BDM’s request.

· Daily weekly

· Conducting timely research to locate product to prevent backorders.

· Helping to attract and retain qualified and motivated workforce, while fostering new ideas for improvements.

· Continuously develop direct reports by coaching them for excellence. Document progress and ensure colleagues are cross trained to provide adequate coverage in key processes.

· Assisting with the evaluation of employee performance, handle disciplinary issues and maintaining an environment of respect and accountability to promote a cooperative and harmonious working culture.

· Tracking and maintaining productivity standards and assessing colleagues, supplies, and equipment needs.

· Maintaining “Tour Ready” clean and safe work area and securing building/operations at end of shift.

Performing additional duties as assigned.

Skills required:

· Be proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel) and operational systems

· Be able to multi-task and perform excellent communication, supervisory and customer service skills.

· Must be able to identify problems and resolve in a timely manner; possess a sense of urgency and ability to prioritise tasks and resources appropriately.

· Promote an environment conducive to maximise employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.

Metrics & Objectives:

· Hazard reporting (5 per each team member)

We are currently looking for 2 x Warehouse Operatives for our client based in Crawley, Copthorne, this is for the Day shift where you will be working Monday to Friday, starting at 14:00pm and finishing at 21:00pm. This is for an immediate start.

Due to the client’s location we require all applicants to have their own vehicle as driving is a must to get there.
