Buyer / Procurement Specialist

Full-Time, Permanent | Monday-Friday | Onsite in Norwich, Norfolk

From hydraulic hoses, couplings and assemblies to a full range of pneumatic and electric drive solutions, they supply equipment that keeps their customers’ operations moving. As a trusted distributor for major industrial brands, they’re proud of their reputation for quality products, reliable service and long‑term partnerships.

They are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join their purchasing team. This role will play a key part in managing supplier relationships, negotiating margins, and ensuring efficient lead times to support ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to manage availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Negotiate margins and lead times to ensure best value and continuity of supply.
  • Raise purchase orders and monitor order progress through to delivery.
  • Support cost control and continuous improvement within the procurement process.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure materials meet operational requirements.
  • Source components in line with company standards and specifications.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Buyer or Procurement role.
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatic components would be advantageous.
  • Confident communicating and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of margins, pricing, and lead times.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and commercially aware.
