Class 2 Driver (Ongoing) – Leeds, LS25
Major Logistics are recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients for Class 2 Drivers to join their team on an ongoing basis, with the opportunity of a permanent, full-time position for the right candidates.
Role Details
- Driving an 18-tonne vehicle with tail lift
- Monday to Friday – no weekend work required
- Start time: 05:00, finishing around 15:30
- Average 45 hours per week
- Delivering ambient, chilled, and frozen food products
- Multidrop deliveries – typically around 15 drops per day
- Delivery areas include Hull, Newcastle, Manchester, Blackpool, and South Yorkshire
- Use of a pallet truck provided, though some handball may be required
- Consistent routes where possible – drivers are often kept on the same run each week
Training
- Full 1-week training programme
- Shadowing an experienced driver before going out independently
- Ongoing support from the transport team
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Newly qualified drivers welcome
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Must be 21 years or older
