HGV Class 2 Driver

Salary: £30,000 – £31,500 per annum

Our client, a well-established and highly successful family-run steel stockholding business, is currently seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to join their growing team. As part of continued investment in the business, a brand-new fleet of fully specified Scania P280 vehicles is due to arrive in the coming weeks, providing drivers with modern, high-quality equipment.

The Role

• Multi-drop delivery role operating Monday to Friday
• Start time: 6:00am
• Average finish time: 3:00pm
• Typical working week: 40-45 hours

INDTM

• Deliveries carried out using drop-sided flatbed vehicles
• Approximately 6-18 drops per day, depending on route and location
• Routes primarily covering the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands
• No overnight stays or weekend working

This is a job-and-finish role, meaning drivers who complete their routes and return to base early are able to finish work and head home.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Positive, proactive and flexible approach to work
• Strong commitment to customer service and safety

Previous experience within the steel industry or operating flatbed vehicles would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
