Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CMM Inspector on a permanent basis to join a well-established manufacturing company based at their plant in Darlaston, West Midlands.
The CMM Inspector role will be located within a state of the art machining facility which has been the recipient of substantial investment over recent years.
Duties & responsibilities of the role:
- Program a range of CNC Mitutoyo CMM’s, working to tight tolerances
- Program Axel based Vision Systems
- Use manual measuring equipment such as Micrometer, Height Gauges, Protractors, Shadow Graphs, etc
- Support Production Engineers in the development of high accuracy processes
- Run current CMM programs for First off, In Process and Last Off inspection
- Have experience working with Engineering Drawings, and Geometrical Design and Tolerancing
- Support Quality Engineers with the creation of inspection plans
- Support Quality Engineers with the creation of inspection plans
- Create first Article Inspection Reports
Candidate specification:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience programming CNC CMM’s is essential
- Proven experience programming Mitutoyo MSCOSMOS is desirable
- Inspection experience gained in the Aerospace Industry is desirable
- Have proven strong knowledge of mechanical engineering, with experience gained within a machine shop or similar environment
- Minimum education level of National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant subject is desirable
Salary, working hours and benefits:-
- £35,000 per annum
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 4:30pm (40 Hours per week) with the availability to work Friday as overtime if required
