Electrical Installation Technician – Semiconductor Manufacturing

We are recruiting Electrical Installation Technicians to support a rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing facility. This role focuses on installing, wiring, testing and maintaining electrical systems that support highly specialised production equipment.

This opportunity is particularly suited to ex-military electrical technicians, engineering technicians, and maintenance specialists who are used to working in structured, safety-critical environments.

You will be part of a technical engineering team responsible for ensuring electrical systems are installed, maintained and operating to the highest standards within a modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, wire and terminate electrical systems and components supporting production equipment

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation

  • Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on electrical installations

  • Support equipment upgrades, modifications and commissioning activities

  • Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 regulations and site safety standards

  • Maintain accurate records of installation and maintenance work

  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to maintain safe and efficient production

What We’re Looking For

  • Completed Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering training

  • 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, defence, engineering, or facilities environments

  • Strong ability to read technical drawings and schematics

  • Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and safety

  • Ability to work effectively within a team-based engineering environment

Ideal Backgrounds

Candidates from the following backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply:

  • Royal Navy / RAF / British Army electrical technicians

  • Aircraft or vehicle electrical maintenance technicians

  • Industrial or manufacturing electrical installers

  • Facilities or plant electrical technicians
