Heavy Plant Engineer
Major Recruitment are working in partnership with an engineering business who are looking to recruit an experienced Heavy Plant Engineer to join their team in the Glasgow area.
The role will involve maintaining, servicing and repairing a range of heavy and specialist plant equipment, working across both workshop and site environments.
The Role:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Service and repair heavy plant machinery.
- Replace faulty components and minimise equipment downtime.
- Attend operational sites when required to support breakdowns and maintenance.
About You:
- Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Engineer, Plant Mechanical or Fleet Engineer.
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
- Electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
- Experience with construction, drilling, quarrying, agricultural or other heavy plant equipment would be beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence.
