Job Description
A skilled and confident Registered Manager is required to lead a two-bed children’s home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs. The home is already well established and holds a “good” inspection rating. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, child-centred values, and an ability to maintain high standards of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the staff team, including rota planning and professional development.
- Oversee all care planning and promote positive outcomes for each young person.
- Embed the Quality Standards into everyday practice.
- Apply knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Build effective working relationships with external partners and advocate for young people.
- Celebrate achievements for both staff and children.
- Manage the home’s budget and resources responsibly.
- Complete reports, records, and administrative tasks to a high standard.
- Lead safeguarding practice and ensure all procedures are consistently followed.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience within residential childcare.
- Proven experience managing or helping establish a children’s home.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
