Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who are recruiting for a Housing Support Worker. The role will be supporting young people aged 16-25 years living within the Burnley area. The role is initially offered on a temporary basis, but there is scope for the role to become permanent.
Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker includes:
- Providing resettlement and housing management support
- Encouraging independent living
- Promoting tenancy sustainment
- Assisting clients to maximise their income
- Completing the induction process with new clients
- Assisting with the access to training, education and employment opportunities
- Signposting clients to other services within the community
- Completing housing benefit, council tax and universal credit claims
- Conducting risk and needs assessments
Requirements of the Housing Support Worker:
- Enhanced DBS
- Driver and access to a vehicle with business insurance
- Previous experience working alongside young people
