Quality Manager
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 39 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday) – Early Finish Every Friday
Our client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Quality Manager to lead the quality function and drive continuous improvement across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong ISO 9001 experience who enjoys being involved on the shop floor as well as managing systems, audits and quality performance.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System

Lead internal and external audits

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business

Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and root cause investigations

Monitor quality KPIs and identify improvement opportunities

Handle customer quality concerns and support supplier quality activities

Work closely with production, engineering and inspection teams

Promote a strong quality culture throughout the organisation
Requirements
Essential
-
Previous experience as a Quality Manager within manufacturing or engineering
-
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

Experience leading internal and external audits
-
Hands-on shop floor quality experience
-
Experience managing non-conformances and corrective actions
-
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Desirable

Precision engineering or machining background

Lead Auditor qualification

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques

Experience within aerospace, automotive, defence or similar sectors
