The Role
- Processing customer orders
- Deliver great customer service over the phone and in person
- Tracking and planning UK drivers and equipment ensuring optimal utilisation
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure orders are fulfilled
- Communicate with customers and keep them informed of order status
- Oversee turnaround of vehicles and containers to maximise productivity
- Recharge any additional costs
- Arrange maintenance and cleaning of equipment and book repairs and servicing
- Active involvement in P&L and CPA
- On boarding of new business
Requirements
- Experience in customer service
- CPC certificate (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience in transport/logistics, with knowledge of tanker planning
- Strong organisational skills, able to multitask and prioritise without compromising standards
- Attention to detail, able to deliver accuracy in data entry, documentation and record keeping
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Financial acumen
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiar with Transport Management systems and database software
- Knowledge of MS packages (Excel, Outlook etc)
- Reliable and resilient
- Adaptable – able to change priorities and work schedules to support the team in peak or periods of high demand
- Willing to switch between customer service and operational functions
