About the role
We’re recruiting experienced MIG and TIG welders for a busy manufacturing client in Huddersfield. You’ll be welding structural and precision components to engineering drawings, working as part of a small, skilled team in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key responsibilities

Carry out MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on steel and stainless components (and aluminium where required).

Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and job instructions.

Set up welding equipment, select correct consumables, and adjust parameters to suit material and thickness.

Perform fit-up, tack welding, and final welding to specification while controlling distortion.

Conduct self-inspection and basic quality checks; report any defects or non-conformances.

Use hand and power tools (grinders, saws, drills) and basic measuring equipment.

Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all health & safety procedures.
What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a MIG and/or TIG welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.

Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tolerances.

Strong focus on quality, safety, and meeting production targets.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Welding qualifications/certificates are advantageous but not essential if you can demonstrate strong practical ability.
