We once again find ourselves in the West Midlands on our Managed Services Roadshow, this time in Shropshire. We are 100% into the flow of these now, we know what to expect and the teams seem to know what to expect from us. They assume we want cakes (and we’re fully behind this!), and we want them to make fools of themselves for our socials (again, we’re fully behind this!)
When we walked into the team’s office, we were welcomed to a zen garden paradise – they did however admit to only installing this the week before (for our benefit!) still, it was beautiful!
Shall we crack on and introduce you all to Katarzyna and Marcin?
Let us firstly introduce you to Marcin, he is the Senior Account Manager onsite. He seemed a little unsure at first with the idea of making videos with us, but one video in and then we played a game and he loved it – we’re always welcomed back now! He even purchased ‘back up’ cakes in-case Katarzyna couldn’t make one (spoiler alert: She did). We were quite interested into what Marcin’s answers to our silly questions would be and he didn’t let me down!
- If your life was a video game, what would the main objective be? GTA-style, building an empire, managing chaos, and keeping everything running smoothly (so basically Managed Services then!)
- If you could invent a brand-new emoji, what would it look like? A tiny T-Rex wearing sunglasses, holding a kebab (We would use that daily!)
- What’s a song lyric that describes your current mood? “Sweet Caroline… good times never seemed so good!” but mostly the “bah, bah, bahhhh part (We’ve all had a bah bah bahhhh kind of day Marcin, we get you!)
- If your personality had a smell, what would it be? A mix of espresso, leather, and just a hint of adventure (that’s exactly what you smelt of!)
- Would you rather have to wear a cape everywhere or carry a walking stick at all times? Walking stick, it adds authority, and you can use it to point dramatically (Yeah…but we think you could totally rock a cape!)
- What’s your go-to karaoke song? “I Want to Break Free” by Queen (That is a belter!)
- What’s one everyday object you’d love to redesign? Office chairs, race car seats with built-in massagers and heating! (Ross….can Marcin have one please?)
- What’s a weird combination of foods that you secretly love? Salad with chicken gyros, pasta, mayonnaise, pickled peppers, raisins, salt, pepper, and cayenne. It sounds weird, but trust me! (This does not sound weird, it sounds amazing – maybe hold the raisins!)
- If you had to spend a year as a different species, what would you pick? An Eagle, soaring high and spying on everything below (It’s a good choice, we can’t think of anything sarcastic to say here!)
- If you could swap voices with any cartoon character, who would it be? Darth Vader, imagine making simple requests sound like an order from the Empire (“I find my lack of coffee disturbing… Make me a brew or we will destroy you!”)
Now we move onto Katarzyna, she is the onsite Account Coordinator. This girl missed her calling, she could have been an actress! She was quiet, but confident in the office and then when the camera came one – Katarzyna was a star! Breaking out into “I dreamed a dream” as she hovered the office is something we don’t think we’ll see surpassed!
She made a cake, we think it was called Karpatka – a Polish Mountain Cream Cake. This thing was UNREAL! It looked like a giant Yorkshire pudding with cream inside, but it was amazing! Now let’s see what her answers are like
- If you had to live in a supermarket for a year, which section would you claim as your home? If there’s a clothing section, that’s the one, no doubt about it! That’s my cup of tea (Really, we’d go homeware and bag ourselves a bed!)
- If you could replace your shadow with something else, what would it be? Angel wings! I could prank people into thinking, ‘Hang on, am I still alive? Is this heaven? Why does it look exactly the same?’ Also, if I was tired, I’d just fly instead of walking (This is a ludicrous question, but your answer is spot on!)
- What’s something that instantly makes you feel like a kid again? Eating sweets and sneakily hiding the wrappers under the bed (We do that now, is it wrong?)
- If you had to wear a slogan on your shirt every day, what would it say? “Never give up!” it sounds cliché, but I genuinely believe in it. No matter what, there’s no situation you can’t get out of (Great attitude!)
- Would you rather be able to control time or instantly master any skill? Control time, then I’d have all the time in the world to master any skill (Touché Katarzyna, touché!)
- What’s something you always find funny, no matter what? Inappropriate jokes (That’s why you’re definitely part of the Major Family!)
- What’s your go-to “embarrassing but fun” song? ‘Dragonstea Din Tei’ by O-Zone or ‘What Is Love’ by Haddaway – Jim Carrey’s impression – I bet it comes to your mind straight away (We’re bobbing our head as we type!)
- If you had to live in one season forever, which would you choose? Summer, is this really a question? (No, it’s stupid haha!)
- If you had to pick a fruit that best represents your personality, what would it be?
Dragon fruit, a mixture of different bright colours and a bit unexpected (Does that mean people would call you a Dragon though?) - Would you rather have to wear roller skates everywhere or bounce like a kangaroo? Bounce like a kangaroo, but only if it came with a funny bouncing sound. I can imagine myself tripping over straight after wearing the roller skates (Yeah but if you always wore them, you’d become amazing at it, imagine how tiring jumping would be….however stairs and driving would be a problem in skates – this need some thinking about!)
Another standard/crazy stop on our Managed Services Roadshow there, with Marcin and Katarzyna not disappointing us! It was an honour to spend time in their zen garden in the West Midlands!
