It was time for our third stop of the Managed Services Roadshow, and the email landed in the Marketing folder….this one will take you into a different country! After we’d calmed down from our super excited dance, we were soon brought back down to earth when we found out it was Wales.

It may not be the sunny destination we were imagining, but you can’t fault Wales……it’s lush! What’s more the team greeted us with big smiles and homemade cakes! Which is how we should always be greeted in our opinion. After a little game of Two Truths and One Lie to break the ice, the day turned out to be great fun.

Ok, let’s get to know the team!

Wales: Andreea

First up we have Andreea

Say hello to Andreea, the Account Manager on site. She was kind enough to let us disrupt her teams day with nonsense and silly requests!

Then when she gave me her answers I realised she’s Major through and through – Completely professional but utterly bonkers on the inside 🙂

  1. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
    Pizza (It’s a lot of carbs, but you know what if you can change the toppings, I’m with you!)
  2. What’s the most random fact you know? The national flag of Nepal is the world’s only non-rectangular flag (I had to Google this, A. It’s true and B. It’s weird!) 
  3. What’s your go-to karaoke song? 2Pac: Hit Em Up (If you gave me a million guesses for that question, I would have still failed!)
  4. If you had to live inside a movie, which one would it be? Peaky Blinders (Quite similar recruitment… “BY ORDER OF THE MAJOR RECRUITERS!)
  5. What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever bought? A mini bag which doesn’t fit anything (For why?!)
  6. If your life had a background soundtrack, what song would be playing right now? Cher: Believe (From Tupac to Cher in 3 questions!)
  7. If you could switch lives with a cartoon character for a day, who would it be? Jerry from Tom & Jerry (OK Andreea, that is a strange choice! You want to spend the day being chased by a grey cat that wants to eat you! A psychologist would go to town on that haha!)
  8. If you could be a contestant on any game show, which one would you pick? Who Wants to be a Millionaire (Good choice, I’d go Catchphrase it’s so easy!)
  9. What’s the most memorable concert or event you’ve ever been to? Beyonce concert (Andreea, you will not be pigeon holed for musical taste!) 
  10. What’s your go-to dance move when no one is watching? Belly dancing (We need to see this at the awards Andreea!)

Next we have Daniela

This is Daniela, she is one of the sites Account Coordinators.

She was fantastic company during our visit and from the responses to her questions, I think there’s a film script to be made…..MAJOR THE MOVIE PERHAPS?

  1. If you had to replace your hands with something else, what would you choose? Bionic hands (I can’t argue with that!)
  2. If you had to live in a world where everything was made of one type of food, what food would you pick? Cheese (Urrrrrgh, just thinking of that makes me feel nauseous!)
  3. If your pet had a secret double life, what would they be doing? Secret agent (We should have asked what the pet was really, as my goldfish would struggle being secret agents!)
  4. If you could only talk in one type of accent for the rest of your life, which would it be? Spanish accent (Sí, esa es una gran elección)
  5. If you could make one animal the size of an elephant, which one would you pick? Horse (Really! I’d go Guinea Pig, don’t know why?)
  6. If aliens asked you to explain Earth in three words, what would you say? Love, Nature, and Madness (Brilliant!)
  7. If you had to survive using only items in your pockets or bag, how long would you last? 2 days, I drink a lot of water (How big is your bag!)
  8. If you had to turn into a different object every night while sleeping, what would you want to be? Cactus flower (So poignant, this could be a French Film ‘The Girl and the Flowering Cactus’)
  9. Would you rather have a tiny dragon as a pet or a giant hamster? Tiny Dragon (100%, Hamsters can be evil! You don’t need a giant one!)
  10. If you could choose any object to be able to teleport through, what would it be? A 3D printer (Again this could be a film Daniela – you’re wasted in recruitment. Start working on the script and let’s make a GoFundMe page!)

And Monika makes three!

Completing the trio is Monika, the second Account Coordinator at the site, and the bringer of baked goods!

She was great fun too – however – she did threaten me with “God help you if you pick a bad photo of me!” So I am a little worried. Let’s get to know the real Monika, with our Mastermind style questioning!

  1. Do you consider yourself more of an Early bird or a Night owl? Well I have to say unwillingly I am an Early bird as I have 2 little kids and job. The last time I made it past 10pm was in December at the work party and it took me 2 days to recover! (I was at that party and I saw what you we’re all like, so I’m not surprised!)
  2. What’s your ideal way to spend a free afternoon? Gym, followed by good food (I’d personally skip the gym and go straight to the good food!)
  3. If you could instantly learn a new language, which one would you pick? I am currently learning Italian ,but I would like to learn Mandarin (Wow, get you, I struggle with English some days!)
  4. What’s one habit you’d love to break or improve? I start a new project every week so I would actually improve the habit of finishing most of them instead of constantly starting a new ones! (At least you’re never bored!)
  5. Do you prefer books or movies? I love both equally but with my ADHD it takes forever to read the whole book (Plus, if there’s a film….why bother, right?!)
  6. What’s one thing that instantly makes you feel better when you’re having a bad day? THE GYM!!! First thing in the morning and I am the happiest person ever (Wow, we are different beasts Monika!)
  7. Would you rather have a day full of adventure or a relaxing day at home? Definitely full day of adventures; Hiking, Marathon running, Crazy sports… You name it, I can’t sit still (Please refer to my above comment!)
  8. Do you work better under pressure or with plenty of time? Under pressure always, working for a recruitment company is the best… Never a dull moment at work (Yeah, we’d suggest a different profession had you chosen plenty of time)
  9. What’s your dream career, even if it’s unrealistic? Hmm dream job, I would get paid to travel to every single country in the world and eat their best food! (That does sound pretty amazing, great answer!) 
  10. What’s one thing you do that always puts you in a good mood? Holidays, meeting new people, travelling the world, trying new crazy adrenaline filled/dangerous activities (We shall never holiday together Monika!)
