A primary school needs a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 in the mornings with a pupil in Year 3 and then in the afternoons to support children in a SEN unit within the school.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working with children in either paid or voluntary capacity. You must be patient and nurturing in their approach and it would be helpful if you had an understanding of SEN.

You will undertake a variety of administrative tasks relating to the Training Centre, which will include booking, processing, and recording all training and testing. In addition, you will assist in some on-site duties, including the provision of training and operating of the plant supplied by the organisation.

Opportunities to augment your own Continued Professional Development (CPD) will also be made available enhancing your skills for the benefit of yourself and the organisation.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

– Hold a recognised trainer/assessor qualification.

– Experience in delivering both practical and classroom-based training, ideally within Mechanical Handling Equipment or the construction plant equipment and/or controlling lifting operations in the role of slinger signaller, although experience in any similar instructional role will be considered.

– Hold a CPCS Tester card (highly desirable);

– Basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation.

– A full driving licence.

– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, as well as being flexible and having an organised approach to tasks.

– Ability to work on own initiative.

– Previous experience of operating cranes or other construction machinery would be beneficial.

Inteirm Work Placement Coordinator

You will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the Business Development department to source and generate high quality work placement opportunities.
  • All placements providers are fully committed and able to provide relevant supervision in a health and safety environment.
  • Handle enquiries from work placement organisations and candidates, over the phone, emailing and online applications.

Job Summary

  • To work with the Head teacher as part of the senior Leadership team in all aspects of leadership and management and to take responsibility for managing and developing learning and teaching, curriculum, assessment, and enrichment throughout the designated phases of the school.
