Warehouse Assistant – FLT Driver

K&D is delighted to be supporting our local client who is looking for an expereinced Warehouse Operative, the ideal candidate will also need to have experience as a forklift truck driver.

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week

Salary: £28,000 – £29,000 + discretionary bonus scheme Previous FLT experience preferred. You must also have a full UK driving licence and have your own vehicle.

Working hours 9-7 Monday – Friday

About the Role:

Our client is currently seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join their team located between Southall and Heathrow. They are full-time positions offering stable hours from Monday to Friday, with a total of 47.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary paying between £28-29K along with the opportunity to participate in a discretionary bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform various warehouse duties including but not limited to picking, packing, loading, and unloading of goods.

Handle heavy lifting tasks with efficiency and attention to safety protocols.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment.

Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

Prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment, particularly in heavy lifting tasks, is essential.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Ideally you will come from a transactional stores environment and have previous working knowledge of computerised stock systems. You will be keen to take on new challenges, develop your skills and expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STOREPERSON POSITION:

  • Loading / Unloading lorries and vans
    * Reporting of any inaccuracies or delivery discrepancies
    * Being responsible for the accurate picking of parts, issuing the materials both physically and electronically
    * Preparing delivery paperwork
    * Housekeeping of goods in & despatch areas of the stores
    * General administration, stocktaking and housekeeping duties
