Major are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative with Forklift Counterbalance plus Powered Pallet truck PPT experience for a prestigious international manufacturer based in Leyland.

This role will be working rotating shifts Mon-Fri 5.45am-2.15pm/1.30pm-10.00pm.

Successful applicants will be working in a role that will involve general warehouse duties, moving of pallets, and problem solving. The right candidate will be somebody with previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT as well as operation of a powered pallet truck (PPT). Experience of palletizing, adaptability and the ability to use initiative to get on top of problems straight away is essential.

This role is intended as a permanent position once a trial period is completed and the opportunity is there to upskill and increase pay rate very quickly once initial training is complete. This role is very much a pathway to a long rewarding career with the employer.

Successful applicants will be working in goods in/goods out, and the role will involve palletizing, loading single & double decker trailers, machine minding and problem solving. The right candidate will be somebody with previous experience operating both Reach and Counterbalance FLT as well as operation of a powered pallet truck (PPT). Experience of palletizing, adaptability and the ability to use initiative to get on top of problems straight away is essential.

This role is intended as a permanent position once a trial period is completed and the opportunity is there to upskill and increase pay rate very quickly once initial training is complete. This role is very much a pathway to a long rewarding career with the employer.

Warehouse HGV Shunter Rotating Shifts

Major are currently recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver with Forklift Counterbalance licence and Powered Pallet truck PPT experience for a prestigious international manufacturer based in Leyland.

This role will be working rotating shifts Mon-Fri 5.45am-2.15pm/1.30pm-10pm.

Successful applicants will be responsible for moving trailers around the large site using a Class 2 HGV 18 tonne vehicle as well as loading/unloading the vehicle using a Counterbalance FLT and Powered Pallet truck. The right candidate will be somebody with a valid HGV Class 2 Licence as well as supporting documentation, plus experience using a Counterbalance FLT and PPT.

Key duties:

  • Participate in the planning and evaluation of learning activities.
  • Provide meaningful feedback on pupil attainment and progress.
  • Support the teacher in monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting pupils’ progress according to the school’s policies in order to monitor and foster pupils’ progress in all areas of learning.
  • Support positive behaviour and concentration levels of the children and adapt own behaviour and responses to any change or escalations in behaviour of the children.
  • Promote spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development and British values within the PSHE policy across the whole school.
  • Promote pupils’ cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual well-being through a whole Day Curriculum.

About You:

  • Experience working with SEN in an employed or voluntary setting
  • Full UK driving licence absolutely necessary, as you will be required to transport pupils to and from school and also engage in off-site enrichment activities which requires transportation
  • Working towards Level 2 award in Support work in schools or an equivalent is desirable
  • GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification is essential.
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD
  • Commitment to the role, the desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual
  • Be positive and creative in meeting pupils’ needs
