Job Description

The Sales and Marketing function of the Industrial Power Systems Division is seeking a Strategy Analyst to undertake key reporting and governance; driving focus on our commercial excellence targets and initiatives. The successful candidate must be a good communicator, IT literate, demonstrate high attention to detail, and work cross-functionally to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive process improvement to standardise and automate reporting across global sales teams
  • Provide Salesforce training and support to global customer facing teams
  • Support continuous improvement in Salesforce platform
  • Create and distribute monthly Sales and Marketing reporting
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions
  • Maintain SharePoint communications portal for the global Sales & Marketing division

Required Skills

  • Experience in Salesforce CRM
  • Experience in data manipulation tools e.g., Alteryx
  • Proficient in core Microsoft products; especially PowerPoint (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience of presenting data in an organised/clear manner
  • Experience at running small to medium sized projects
  • Good communications skills

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Some experience of Thinkcell for MS PowerPoint
  • Some experience of SharePoint
  • Some experience of Tableau
  • Some experience in a business to business, global sales environment would be beneficial.

Instrumentation and Controls Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Instrumentation and Controls Technician based in Peterborough. This job is fully on site work, with the working hours-

Monday- Thursday 8am-4pm

Friday- 8am-3:30pm

The team’s primary responsibility is the calibration and maintenance of the test facility measurement and control systems to ensures quality data output is maintained and to assist engine development and verification. The team is additionally responsible for the upgrade and commissioning of the multi-million-pound engine test facility, which has world-class performance, emissions, and mechanical validation capabilities.

Team members interact with the wider Test Facilities Engineering team as well as other departments within GED and the wider Industrial Power Systems Division.

The ideal candidate needs the knowledge, base skills, and experience to be able to calibrate, repair and maintain the electronic control systems, instrumentation, and electrical plant within the GED facility to the high standard required to keep the company at the forefront of today’s technology. This also includes the ability to maintain records, read and interpret technical drawings and work with engineers, contractors, and colleagues to design, install, commission, and maintain new, refurbished, and modified equipment.

Operating in a fast paced and professional technical environment, this role will provide an interesting variety of responsibilities and activities, with the opportunity to work both as part of a wider team and independently utilising initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practical, hands-on responsibility for maintaining and deploying measurement equipment
  • Carrying out calibrations of our test facility to recognised standards
  • Conducting diagnostic investigations
  • Equipment evaluation and collation/distribution of findings
  • Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and calibration of engine test facility
  • Modifications to facility plant/test rigs and equipment
  • Evaluating new / future products and processes in the electronic and calibration discipline
  • Provide first line breakdown cover which could include shift work

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential –

  • Either qualified through a technical apprenticeship with electrical/electronic bias or equivalent extensive industry experience within the electronics/electrical field.
  • Experience in Calibration and fault finding of instrumentation
  • Emphasis on initiative and self-starting tasks
  • The ability to follow written work instructions and document progress
  • Ability to read and interpret, electronic design schematics, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings.
  • Experience of working to health and safety standards/regulations

Desirable –

  • Multi-skilled in both Electrical and Electronics disciplines
  • Understanding / experience of working in engine test cell environment
  • Understanding / experience of Root Cause Analysis techniques and permanent corrective actions.
  • ISO7671:2017 IEE 18th Electrical Regulations
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
  • HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline

Battery Validation Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Battery Validation Engineer for our client based in the area of Peterborough.

Job Description:

You will be working as part of the battery pack validation team. The role will involve planning, co-ordinating,

executing and reporting validation activities at battery pack level. These activities will involve working with internal and

external test partners to execute key activities at varies levels of pack maturity. The candidate should have strong

planning and communication skills, be analytical and show the ability to either follow standard work, or modify existing

guidelines with approval from the Validation Lead. The role will involve working with design engineers (both mechanical

and electrical), development engineers and SME’s to capture and plan validation requirements via FMEA’s and compile

these requirements into a structured test plan. Experience of battery validation would be strongly preferable, either in

test labs or machine/vehicle.

Job Requirments:

Experience of battery validation in test labs or machine/vehicle 2

Strong data analysis skills, Strong in communication

· Degrees or certifications required – Degree in mechanical/electrical/automotive engineering

Working Hours: In office 2/3 days per week Mon-Thurs 08:30-16:45, Fri 16:15 finish. Flexibility around these.

Pay Rate: £27/28 Per Hour
