Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to work for a well-established client based in Wednesbury.

Working hours: 40h a week

Pay rate : Between 11.66 – 14.02

Working days: Ability to work on a weekly rotating pattern Monday to Friday 6m till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm and able to switch to nights 22.00 till 06.00 in the upcoming months

Main Responsibilities for the Quality Inspector :-

  • Ensuring quality products are delivered to the customer & all faults are reported back to Production in a timely manner.
  • Accurate recording of faults, Investigate and determining causes of them for resolution ensuring products meet the customer’s expectations & requirements.
  • Ensure processes conform to ISO 9001:2015 standards to ensure full integration into the business quality management system or IATF 16949 for automotive customer/s.
  • Ensure focus on health and safety using PPE is maintained whilst conducting given tasks.
  • Support improvement quality processes
  • Participate in drive forward Continuous Improvement initiatives where required.

Accounts Administrator

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for a West Bromwich based SME who are seeking an Accounts Administrator to start immediately.

Duties and tasks will include:

Put all purchase and sales invoices on Cashflow. Keep updated daily.

Sort out weekly payments to suppliers/subcontractors. Produce Remittance Advices and get them signed off for payment. Email Remittance Advices.

Chase customer invoice payments

Check the bank every morning.

Put all purchase and sales invoices on TAS. Check at end of month that all sales invoices are on TAS.

All purchase invoices to be signed off. Put Accounts code on them first.

Put all payments and receipts on TAS

Do regular back-ups.

Check over typed sales invoices for errors before they are sent out, checking details agree with Purchase Order.

Calculate salaries on Sage 50.

Submit Real Time Submission before end of month.

Print off reports and payslips. Copy payslips and attach to timesheets before putting into files. Distribute payslips. Pay salaries. Update Salaries Exel spreadsheet.

Submit payment details via Sage by the 19th.

Print off P60’s in April and any P45’s as and when required.

Log in to the pensions system and fill in details. Print off and submit. (to be done within 2 days of completing the salaries).

Keep pensions list up to date. Send out letters every to re enrol members onto scheme including those who have opted out. Enrol new employees onto scheme.

CNC Operator- 3 & 5 Axis

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator on a permanent basis to join a well-established manufacturing company based at their plant in Darlaston, West Midlands.

The CNC Operator will support the recent acquisition for 5 axis machinery, the role will be located within a state of the art machining facility which has been the recipient of substantial investment over recent years.

Duties & responsibilities of the role:

  • Operate CNC 3 and 5 axis machine
  • Read engineering drawings
  • Be able to probram and work with minimal supervision
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

Candidate specification:

  • Knowledge of Edgecam/Hypermill preferable however, knowledge of other program writing software will be acceptable
  • Experience in following Standard Operating Procedures and reading engineering diagrams
  • 2, 3 & 5 axis machining experience is a necessity
  • Direct experience of working with Hurco & Mazak would be beneficial
  • At lease 10 years machining experience
