Duties and tasks will include:

Duties and tasks will include:

 Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the business.

 Develop, implement, communicate and manage the Quality Management System throughout the business.

 Effectively interact with production teams to maintain and improve product quality and supply and lead the introduction of new products.

 Working with purchasing to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

 Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation.

 Bringing together different disciplines of the business and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures and methods of operation.

 Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.

 Liaising with customers and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.

 Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.

 Organise, manage and develop quality department personnel in close co-operation with the Company’s Management team in order to support budget and business expectations.

 Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated

 Writing management systems reports.

 Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components.

 Any other reasonable duties requested to be undertaken by the Board.

 Metallurgical knowledge would be beneficial

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for a professional engineering organisation who are seeking a 3 Axis CNC Operator to join their busy Darlaston site.

Duties and tasks will include:

  • Set up and operate 5 Axis Hurco’s and a ROEDER using setting sheets.
  • Conversational program, set up and operate Hurco 5-AXIS to produce precise components to specification using WinMax software at the console.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Check your own work using a range of measuring equipment.
  • Completing one offs and batch work.
  • Ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.

Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:

  • a min of 5 years’ experience of machining with experience in Aerospace desirable.
  • Experience of working on Hurco is essential.
  • An ability to program and work with minimal supervision is a necessity.
  • Experience of 3,2 & 5 Axis Machining
  • Experience of working with graphite would be beneficial.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 10 hours between 6am and 6pm, Friday is overtime which will be provided on a weeks notice, and parking is available.
