Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary basis, to join an organisation based in Buckinghamshire.

Duties of the Housing Officer role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Provide a proactive, front-line housing management service to tenants and leaseholders.
  • Manage a range of tenancy matters, including successions, mutual exchanges, assignments and tenancy amendments.
  • Carry out home visits, tenancy audits, estate inspections, accompanied viewings and starter tenancy visits.
  • Manage tenancy and property-related cases, including untidy gardens, property condition and hoarding.
  • Investigate and manage medium-level ASB cases, such as noise nuisance and graffiti, through to resolution.
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding, welfare and vulnerability concerns, referring tenants to appropriate support agencies.
  • Investigate tenancy fraud, including suspected subletting and non-occupation.
  • Work closely with tenants, colleagues and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Encourage tenant involvement and use feedback to help improve services and neighbourhoods.
  • Manage communal facilities within sheltered housing schemes and coordinate services such as fire alarm testing and logbooks.
  • Maintain accurate case records, reports and follow-up actions using mobile working technology.

The successful candidate for the Housing Officer will have:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Housing Support Officer

Hamilton Woods are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Officer to support tenants maintain their tenancies, on a permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Housing Support Officer:

  • Deliver a comprehensive housing management service across a designated patch, supporting residents with tenancy-related matters, complaints and sustainment advice.
  • Support residents with the completion of welfare and benefit-related documentation.
  • Work closely with operational teams and support services regarding tenancy start dates, terminations and transfers.
  • Prepare tenancy documentation and resident welcome information.
  • Provide relevant arrears and account information to income teams to support debt resolution processes.
  • Offer guidance and support to operational teams on rent accounts, welfare benefits and tenancy management matters.
  • Review support needs and risk assessments to ensure housing management responsibilities are delivered effectively.

Essential Requirements of the Housing Support Officer:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary basis for 8-12 weeks, to join an organisation based in Essex.

Duties of the Housing Officer role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Manage tenancy related requests including permissions, assignments, successions, mutual exchanges and joint tenancy applications.
  • Identify any support or welfare needs at the start of a tenancy and put appropriate support in place to help customers sustain their home.
  • Manage tenancy breaches, using appropriate interventions such as warnings and notices and prepare documentation for court action where required.
  • Carry out home visits and property inspections to address tenancy, property or support concerns.
  • Support customers with complex needs to sustain their tenancies, resolve tenancy breaches and understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Work with partner agencies including local authorities, police, social services, healthcare and voluntary organisations to support customers and achieve positive outcomes.

The successful candidate for the Housing Officer will have:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Enhanced DBS.
