Major Recruitment needs your help to support our client and we are currently recruiting for Parcelforce and we need Warehouse parcel/mail sorters. This varied role includes sorting mail, using trolleys, manually sorting and loading ready for our team of delivery drivers.

The mail centre operates a fast and efficient system that will require you to work as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and maintain business targets.

This role would suit well-organised individuals who thrive on keeping busy.

You will need to have a positive and enthusiastic attitude as the Warehouse gets extremely busy and our customers rely on us to ensure we deliver on time.

You will need to be physically fit for this role and you may be required to operate machinery.

Van Drivers

We are currently looking for a number of experienced Van Drivers for our client, to work from their depot based in Chelmsford (CM2).

Normal start time 08:00 Monday to Friday with some weekend work available. There may also be some opportunities for part time working, for example reducing the number of days worked per week – this will be by mutual agreement.

The Ideal candidate will:

  • Have held a full current UK Driving Licence for at least 12 months
  • No more than 6 points – DD, DR, TT or IN10
  • Have a working knowledge of Kent and the SE
  • Be physically fit (some roles involve some lifting)
  • Have excellent time keeping, and be able to work to a schedule.
  • Have a flexible approach to their working day.
  • Be able to complete and pass a DBS check.

You will receive on the job training. Ongoing work on a full time basis.

Our client based in Chelmsford, are seeking Van Drivers to join their busy parcel distribution company

Shifts and pay for the van drivers:

The role of the van driver runs Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work depending on the volume

Working hours of the van driver will be between 08:00 – 18:00

Paying £11.64 per hour

Role of the van driver will involve:

  • Collecting of parcels from the main depot
  • Dropping parcels to customers homes
  • Using a scanner to scan the delivered parcels
  • Calculating the best delivery routes
  • Greeting of customers
  • Completing pre vehicle checks

Our client offers the following for van drivers:

  • A fleet of well maintained vehicles

  • Possible permanent vacancies after successful trial period
